Please tell me your opinion on the Crucible. After 3 games I simply get annoyed on how unfair the Crucible is >> Teams beeing matched against individuals, 4 type of primary weapons and all with different kill timers when you hit all precision shots.
Automatic Fusion Rifles, Automatic Shotguns to be used with a short teleport.
Now what pisses me off the most is the heavy ammo spawn. With the proper weapon you grab 4 rockets per spawn and up to 4 people can grab this meaning more rockets are spawned than players in the match.. In Skirmish and Salvage this wins you the game >>
Automatic mode on special weapons needs to be toggled off in Crucible, even on Scout and Pusle rifles if you ask me. Special ammo should be a timed drop like Heavy ammo, Heavy ammo should give less ammo and only for the first who grabs it. Dieing with heavy ammo shouldnt give it to those who killed that person. Heavy ammo should only drop once a match. Special ammo twice a match.

I want this post to have some positive side to it aswell so here comes a tip for all Crucible players who love Control but dont seem to know how to properly play it. I see to many people trying to go for a third base and this needs to stop. The name even tells you what to do. Control! Control the enemy. And heres how:
There are 3 control spots A,B and C. You grab the closest spot to your spawn and trust me go with all of you. Each person gets points so grabbing it will all will give you 6x75=450 points. Then you grab the center spot B. And now you control both. You now have fixed the enemy spawn in a region close to their controllec spot. And thats how you play Control. If you start grabbing the third spot you give the enemy a completely new spawnzone and this lost you the control over the enemy.
Sadly theres a bounty of grabbing 10 zones that screws this up because people just want to get the bounty done and go for something else than Control. Bungie has added bounties to this game that screws over people sadly. Not dieing in a Strike is also one of them.

I am just a bit shocked that a company who brought the PvP of Halo ended up making this PvP. This is pure garbage compared to Halo 3 and Halo Reach eventhough that was a bit of a downhill already. I personally would even remove supers from Crucible but I guess I would be the only one with that opinion.
What do you guys think of the current state of Crucible and what would you add or remove?
-
Me? Shotgun-melee combo, anyone?
-
I propose a compatible gamesome where there are all pre set Loadouts, with each weapon type, and exotics are scattered around like weapon spawns from Halo. I feel this would prevent Bungie from nerfing PvE guns for PvP and promote more skill based gameplay, instead of everyone relying on their Suros or whatever exotic u have.
-
There is the new playlist "inferno" that will remove supers and mini map. That should give us the competitive gameplay we seek.
-
Halo>destiny for multiplayer. I can't get into crucible. Halo took more skill and teamwork
-
Loved Halo PvP. Love Destiny PvP. I feel with Destiny there is supposed to be an imbalance. You use the weapons you find in the wild and such. You'll have different weapons than others. In Halo it was more of a competitive vibe. Fight for the big guns, everyone starts with the same gun.
-
Here. I just can't deal with the radar. It makes me feel like a retard. There's no point of the Destiny (general direction) radar, when you compare it to red dot specific location based radar Halo has. Wish I could have the halo radar, so I have one less reason to blame why I suck at crucible lol.
-
Right here
-
Halo 2. It set the bar for matching making.
-
In Halo 3 skills do matter. If you suck you'll be stuck as a private or if you succeed you will be general
-
All in the head(;

I hate the PvP. I played reach and 3 multiplayer and I loved the fact everyone started with pretty much the same loadout. No cheap Ass shot guns. And no snipers. You worked for them. You had to sync with your team for map control. That was fun. This bullshit on Destiny pisses me off. And the maps look like shitty cod space maps
-
Halo 1 PC.
-
I miss the larger than life maps. Sniping from a mile away at someone you could barely see, and trying to laser the warthogs was a blast
-
Former Halo Player here. Crucible is another experience than the classic halo multiplayer, but i like it. You just can't take it too seriously because it's not really competitive.
-
My only complaint about the pvp is the half ass servers in takes place on. other then that I don't find anything really wrong and feels relatively the same as halo did for me.
-
LOL Git Gud... Nah, seriously, of course this is not as good as Halo 3 or Halo Reach multiplayer PvP. But I still can find it very competitive and entertaining as well. So just keep playing and if you want, play this Iron Banner week, is the most satisfaying PvP event by beating people under your level.
-
I love the Crucible, but compared to Halo's multiplayer, the Crucible is just weak and nowhere near as good. I've played Halo for years and have countless hours in Reach and the Crucible is a disappointment after playing some Reach matchmaking.
-
Been playing bungie games since Halo: CE
-
Halo 3 player here. I miss the deep voice that rewarded me for my streaks lol. And forge needs to make a comeback to destiny
-
Why does the PvP have to be like halo? Am I wrong or is this game not Spelled D-e-s-t-i-n-y and not H-a-l-o?
-
Can't compare it a all to halo. Halo was a smooth competitive mp, this is nothing close
-
Hi there, I never cared much for competitive play, but Destiny PvP is OK, not great though. Would be much better with custom games so I could dick around with my friends in a high speed, unlimited supers -blam!- fest
-
Edited by Dooodley: 2/2/2015 8:35:24 PMI'm going noweher near Crucible, way too casual for my taste. It's basically just a custom game with strangers. At no point does the system take into consideration player skill or team size. And yes, I'm amazed that the developer of the two best matchmaking systems in the history of gaming could produce something like the Crucible. They went full retard.
-
There is no comparison between Halo 2/3 matchmaking vs. Crucible. I discount Reach and Halo 4 as no real ranking system was in place. And 343 just sucks. Halo matchmaking was very balanced as far as map design, weapon placement and the nice selection of objective game types were concerned. Power weapons were strategically placed and could not be spammed. Capture the flag is vastly superior to anything here. Odd ball is fantastic. Big team and custom matches. Bungie created gold with Halo 2 and Halo 3 matchmaking. They created something closer to tinfoil with Destiny.
-
I like Crucible but... Halo multiplayer >>>> Crucible.

I've been playing Bungie games since Halo CE was released. So I've lived through the times of doing LAN parties with friends and competing at tournaments for CE. Experienced the pinnacle and dark side of online gaming with Halo 2. Was there for Halo 3 when Halo was probably it's most popular. And saw the decline that began with Halo Reach. Halo 4 was supposed to be the lowest point, but 343 managed to out do themselves with the release of MCC being broken and full of bugs. Anyway, about Destiny: it has potential. The shooter mechanics are fun. I've gotten used to aiming down the sights, as opposed to scoping in that Halo had. The maps are cramped, but decent. There's no ranking system, that kind of makes players ambivalent about winning. Things like Iron Banner are neat, but too short. I don't take the multiplayer seriously like I did with Halo because of the super abilities and the loose matchmaking. I routinely get matched with awful players. So caring about winning is out of the question when searching solo. I do care about my k/d ratio, because I'm competitive by nature. So getting 30+ kills and single digit deaths is always nice.
