Smh if protecting your team comes to play yes there is other lau chers even ghorn won't clear loads of thralls or ogre like y he dB man check it's blast radius Jesus u know nothing lol you're use to being carried and rely on just shoot in crota huh I bet u use middle strategy 2 smh get out here with your small minded garbage

LDR 5001 is better than Ice Breaker on hard Crota when using the middle strategy as it penetrates the rocks the swordbearer hides behind. Thus with a legendary primary and secondary you could use DB if you don't have the Ghorn. I have not tried it because I have a maxed HoC but I do find the DB is best for the Deathsinger fight and it would be fine for Crota as long as you have good aim and timing of your shots to avoid missing him.

Nobody said to use DB during the Crota encounter. OP uses it for the first part of CE.

Except when it is better to use, like on the deathsinger, shriekers,

There is if the reason is you don't have a g'horn, not all of us are so lucky! I like the DB though!

Lots of people don't have Ice Breaker and I use Black Hammer with DB all the time. It's a very strong combo. Especially on the bosses mentioned above.

That's you're opinion, which isn't quite accurate. The solar damage cause damage over time and takes down his shield just as fast. I'm a warlock, personally I use ghorn, but I'll throw a grenade at crota too for the damage over time effect and it sticks. Ive beaten the raid with guardians using the truth, Hezen of vengeance, hunger of crota, and dragons breath and their wasn't an issue at all. His shield still dropped just as fast. Gjallarhorn is great but not as much of a necessity as people make it out to be for that raid.
