Edited by Maple: 2/2/2015 8:28:42 AMMost CPUs (specially the quad cores) come with a fan already so you don't need the upgraded one. Waste of money. I prefer the Asus z97 pro or maximus hero 7 mother boards. But that's just because I prefer Asus. Other than that, looks good Edit: you have a CD/DVD writer there. You need a reader. Writer is for burning stuff onto discs. Reader for actually seeing what's on there

Looks good to me.

Shoot for 12 gb of ram. My friends 12 vs my 8 is a bigger difference than you would think.

Edited by Handsome Jack: 2/2/2015 1:20:02 AMYou're good for now. That processor and video card are quite the beast. They pull your PC up to next-gen standards. I would suggest your next upgrade be some more RAM and a Solid State Drive. RAM only takes you so far. At most you'll probably want 16 GB. Check your motherboard and see if it needs the RAM in pairs. If it does, just buy 8GB with the two sticks of 4GB. If you end up wanting to upgrade to 4k resolution, just buy your video card first. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 900 series has fantastic 4k performance. They have two kinds of 4k cards. A $350 one and a $550 one. The $550 one completely blows your ordinary 4k experience out of the water. When it runs Crysis 3, its lowest frame rate while playing in 4k was 30fps. Good luck and happy building! :)
