I have a hard question to ask, so if you don't mind, I'm going to post links to my db items, where I have temporarily displayed some things that aren't visible anywhere else.
If you look at this Helmet's perks you will see that the Fastball "perk", is actually named Paramuscle Armature. Despite nobody showing "Paramuscle Armature," that is the perk of the node step.
Secondly, this gun, has the small text under the perks for the actual perk name. Many of the other perks, such as those in column 5 have no small text.
Now, my question. When I do a perk query under the explorer, I don't get Flared Magwell for example. And for the helmet, I'll get both Fastball and Paramuscle Armature, but if I take those hashes and then do a search w/ the perk query parameter on the explorer, I won't get helmets that use Paramuscle Armature perks, because it isn't "Fast Ball"
I hope this makes sense. Why are some things "perks" and show up, and other things are not perks and don't show up? Is there anyway to query the explorer and get all perks, and have things like Flared Magwell show up, and have Paramuscle Armature show up as Fastball, like it does in game?
Thanks!

The explorer APIs are a work in progress. Can you share the exact URLs you are using for your queries?
