How to cull the cluttered forum - please read feedback welcome.
Some serious and some satirical feedback for forum moderation. Please advise: you may feel the need to partake in some activity that is in direct contravention of 9. so read before you scratch your neckbeard. Direct insults in this thread topic are to keep a somewhat serious post humorous.
1. Limit all members to one new post per week
1.1. Members with 250+ Upvotes across the board are able to post 3 per week. Why? They got 250 on side and must have something interesting or worthy to say. So let them say it, and for Odins sake let them be heard.
2. Members who receive more than 10 downvotes a week are put into a sinbin for 1 week with a countdown on their profile.
3. Upvoted and highly rated threads are promoted to sticky at Ninja or Mod discretion.
4. Repeat threads can be tagged as such and removed at Ninja or Mod discretion.
5. Disparaging, negative, non productive, deliberately vile etc threads and the owner are removed for 1 week. This works, because usually they don't come back and thus we don't have to keep muting - they just dissappear.
6. AMA threads should just dissappear into the ether automatically, and/or along with author.
7. Threads regarding improvement to this god awful forum should be liked, bumped and praised.
8. Threads with 0 comments, 0 views are removed within 2 hours automatically, especially if the comments were by the author.
9. Smart asses, trolls, useless twunts and Internet slang blowers are instantly removed. That alone would make this forum tip top caviar level quality.
You'll agree, these are all feasible ideas and as a fan of Destiny you'll do what you can with limited forum ability to get the message heard.
Your role as a moderator enables you immediately ban this user from messaging (bypassing the report queue) if you select a punishment.
