The very second this post goes up i will start firing non-stop until i get 1 legendary. When i do get a legendary i will re-edit this post immediately to tell you how long it took. I will also list exactly how many greens and blues i have aquired before obtaining a legendary. Greens - ///////////////////////////// Blues - ////////// I have started at 11:14 I aquired an engram at 1:29 Finally got a legendary.. 2 hours and 30 minutes exactly lol... Going to tower to decrypt. ... ... ... 2 hours and 30 minutes for shards. Stay away from this cave like its the -blam!-ing plague.

Edited by RapidFire: 4/7/2015 1:45:40 AMYou realize the loot cave before this is much better for drops. I played around and figured out a way to have a direct shot instead of jumping to the ledge. Seriously takes four bullets with a scout that has firefly to kill 7 enemies

The return isn't worth the effort. You better off running Roc strikes. This is, however, a great place to complete the 10 fallen majors bounty. Takes about 5 minutes.

I went here last night and there was a guy up there working the cave so I went up to join him. Loot caves have traditionally been worked on by groups in the past. He starts punching me in the face for a few minutes then sends me a message telling me to leave and that this was "his" spot. I told him were to go that he should learn to share. What the hell's wrong with people. Working a loot cave with someone else has zero impact on you. After several more messages, I just went ahead and started dancing in the cave entrance until he quit. Take that.

I tried this last night for about 45 minutes just to see if it could compare to the original loot cave or even the moon door...doesn't seem like it compares, at least for me it didn't. I got about 12 green engrams and 4 blue engrams. Public events kill the respawn of the enemies from the cave so that's a bummer. However, this is an excellent place to kill Fallen Majors and to farm Glimmer. Just put some ether seeds on and profit.

1 ReplyEdited by SlinkSugar: 2/3/2015 7:33:17 PMI tried it, its very good. you get 1-3 ultra vandals, dregs, or shanks every other spawn. Didn't get any Legendaries but a mountain of blue and green. Also got tons of glimmer due to the ultras. You don't have to wait long. If you watch the vid. (Edited this bit)the trick is to jump in place once or twice and then they spawn. This is necessary as the game believes there are no Guardians on the map in that vicinity, once the jump has you leave the map. The only thing that was frustrating was the public events, even when other folks jumped in to help, we never got full 3 star credit. the Public events rotate pretty frequently. if grind the loot cave for 40min to an hr. your gonna get all 3 public events...

5 RepliesLevel 26 strikes will always be the way to go. No matter how hard you try to make a "loot cave," you'll never get as good of drops as from Vanguard Roc.

We need to learn to keep these things to ourselves, this is how these loot caves get patched. It gets overhyped and then as an outcome we get it stripped from this glorious game!

That sucks. I use that area to complete the Fallen Major/Ultra bounty. I guess if I see anyone doing this I'll sit and let them so all the work.

No. Tried it. You have to wait 30 seconds for three enemies. Not worth it. Do mars chest run instead lol

3 RepliesThat spot is only good for the fallen major bounty. There are better places to farm engrams. Especially on Venus.
