I wish they would consider this. I hate that I have "older" gear and weapons that I love but have become obsolete compared to new gear. The promise of shaping your guardian exactly they way you want is lost in this current system. How about giving us a feature at the vanguard armory and gunsmith to upgrade this gear and weapons using the otherwise useless ascendant energy and shards + a ton of glimmer and the last upgrade a exotic shard. This way players would commit to the piece they love and not all look alike. Also a re-roll option for weapons would be amazing that way you can take the gun with the looks you love and gamble for its stats to give all the weapons original features and give guardians the chance to use their favorite guns with their favorite stats.
