I want the DLC for more everything.
Let's say, for the sake of the conversation, that 2 DLCs from now they come out with some huge sentinel-beam cannon thing and loads of more exotics and the damage cap is 376.
I would love to use a 376 fatebringer with a 376 black hammer and the aforementioned cannon thing. Or I could just use all new weapons, or all old weapons at 376. Point is, I could do what I want. I could mix and match from all DLCs and have over 100s of relevant weapons to choose from. Do you see where I'm going with this? A destiny game that everyone wants to play.

I see what you want but I see that creates a game where the only difference is type of weapon and not how much damage taken by the weapon. Making the game in such a way makes then new weapons released have little necessity. The game is making you want to get the dlc for the advantage of having stronger weapons. You're turning the game into buy dlc for a couple stories one raid and weapons that just shoot different. You see how me spending money basically gives me little advantage over someone who didn't buy the dlc? Thinking intelligently if I found weapons in VOG I loved I would never need to buy that dlc because I could just upgrade my weapons to be as strong as the ones people are getting from the dlc they spent money on. That makes no sense. The dlc weapons should take more than the vog weapons because it's an elevated attachment to the game. You shouldn't necessarily be on par with me when I earned my dlc weapon buy buying the dlc and going through the dlc to obtain it.

Edited by HoliestOfBeards: 1/31/2015 6:34:18 PMI'm saying you would have to purchase the DLC to stay up to par with the level cap and you would have to go through the process of re-leveling it but you would just have a bigger collection to choose from. I'm not saying that you can buy the DLC and get a new maxed out weapon and I can skip the DLC and get my Vision of confluence to the same damage. What I'm trying to say is all the weapons and armor should stay relevant but you need to purchase the DLC to reach its new potential. I want them to somehow implement this. For example, I buy the dark below, I beat Crota on hard and he drops an item called "the gift of Eris" or some crap like that and it lets me wipe the progression on one 30 light armor piece or 300 attack gun and upgrade it to current max level. I could get my VOG warlock robes to level 32 and it would help with the personalization of my character making it more unique. But in order to do that I had to purchase DLC and beat the hardest challenge in the game.
