Come to Chicago or as I call it - Snowmageddon

Don't come to Michigan unless: -the only thing you do is hunt & fish all day -you enjoy some of the highest murder rates in the US (ahem, Flint, Detroit, Pontiac, Saginaw) -you don't mind freezing your balls off while never seeing the sun because you work during the hours when it's actually light and halfway warm outside -you don't mind never really making a snowman because the snow is the color of dirt -enjoy roads so riddled with potholes that will bend your wheels or beak your axle Pure Michigan! Eh just kidding. Your welcome here whenever. You'll have to stop by at least on ur way up to Canada. It really is beautiful here.

Dude move to Lafayette Louisiana! There is more culture than Texas!

Born and raised in Texas and/or US? What parts of the world currently appeal to you?

Come to Quebec!!!! We can go hang out at some of the local bars :) Plus extremely family orientated, just immigration is a bitch.

I know you were talking about doing travel type work. I would suggest doing that for a while, see some places and talk to locals, find a place that appeals to you and target that place, job-wise. You can often find places to work that will pay to move you. That removes some of the financial stress of relocating. I live in Rhode Island, and while it is safe enough and just fine family wise, I can't really recommend New England because cost of living is quite high. I would move south in a heartbeat (FL/GA/Carolinas) but I would have to find work first. I have lived all up and down the east coast, (FL, GA, VA, PA, MA, NH, RI) and spent a few years abroad (Japan and Germany) I spent time in Colorado too, just travelling for work. I really liked it there. Just a totally different mentality than anywhere else I have been. Everyone is really laid back, and the snowboarding is amazing, unlike anything we have on the east coast. I would certainly move there too.

I am in Wisconsin and it is pretty good family wise.... but good luck getting a good job. Also, stay the hell away from Milwaukee. Gangs everywhere.

I wish I could recommend Chicago but IL is pretty shitty cost wise. My sister moved to Minneapolis 10 years ago and absolutely loves it.

You can move as long as you keep playing!!!
