Maybe you should take a little more time for thought? Not everyone is level 32. There is a progression system. You NEED ascendant mats and upgrade mats to level up. You NEED ascendant mats and upgrade mats to level your weapons. When HoW comes out, you too will be leveling up vanguard gear/weapons. That's not mentioning the experience boost and engram drops that you receive from the daily missions. It's the same thing as bounties, an accelerated leveling path. If the raids are your end game material, preparing for them is a necessary part of the game.
