So we've all come out of a Weekly or Nightfall or something with a Legendary or two that are totally garbage. You look at it, immediately identify the suckage & then just hold down square for your 2 Ascendents. Not sure if this is common knowledge, but that dismantle could have been as many as 6 Ascendants. I've been testing, & if you fill all of the experience bubbles on a Legendary, then dismantle you'll get at least 3 Shards/Energy and possibly as many as 6. You don't need to completely activate any of the perks with Glimmer, Parts or whatnot, just unlock them by accruing experience on the gear.
