And it appears I have missed absolutely nothing.
I am passionate about the game, having played Alpha, Beta and then got the title on launch. Using a few days of holiday I played the game none stop for the first week and loved it. Kept playing pretty much none stop until the day Expansion I dropped.
That expansion was such a slap in the face, it came with my LE edition so I don't feel as upset about it as those that payed £20 for it!
The forums are still full of bitterness and raging.
Deej and the support team still seem oblivious to everything, we get stuff like this:
"Lot's of changes are blowing in the autumnal wind. The game we’re playing with you right now is nowhere to be found in our rear-view mirror. The team that updates Destiny is still acting like excited gamers with a new plaything. We’ve had ideas for how to shake up this experience since the day we launched it. Studying you has helped us decide which ones are the best. More are on the way." - 7 Nov 2014 23:31
Really! Because I guarantee if I fired up destiny now, having not played it in earnest for well over 6 weeks it'll be the same. And I can't find a post which I clearly remember reading about a massive update to Destiny in January (or early Feb) that was going to introduce a lot of stuff we gamers have been asking for, which has also failed to materialise.
I keep on top of the weekly updates, even when not playing the game, waiting for the stuff to be added (for me its raid matchmaking, never been able to play the raids so this is a big one for me) and its just not coming.
To summarise, here is the initial post that appears on my Destiny centric website:
"Dead Destiny
I will no longer be actively investing my time in this website. Destiny has let players down, a short foray into the official forums will give you a clear overview of the dismay at the game.
The weekly updates are nothing more than marketing campaigns pushing the raids. Of which I still never got to play, finding it near impossible to arrange and with the game having no built in mechanics near impossible to get involved in.
With talk of Destiny 2 being in full swing for a 2016 release its clear that Bungie and Activision are going to do the least amount of work on Destiny, and save all the additions the community has been clamoring for since launch for Destiny 2. This way they can drive more sales into what is Activisions new yearly FPS.
With the House of Wolves expansion still to come (and which I will play) it will be interesting to see what they have planned for after! Guess as consumers we will just need to wait and see. However they can count me out of pre-ordering any of their next releases."

You don't want match making honestly! The amount of times I've been to destinylfg to get a group and they turn out useless or never done it before is high!! You're better of joining a clan, I did and now I'm completing everything at ease :)

Edited by Sorana3: 1/30/2015 8:27:38 AMI practically forgot about this game for two months, came back around the day of the DLC and saw practically no change except for a few very minor details in the tower. On top of that I have friends who liked the gameplay but haven't touched it since the first month and won't come back cause they feel there's nothing else to hold them there. This game has the mechanics, but not the content or user friendly matchmaking to back it up.

Ok, we'll all miss you
