Hallo fellow guardians,
This week i found 2 legendary scout rifles. First the S. Rapier and Today the Badger CCL. Both with some different perks then the ones u can buy.
My knowledge to perks goes so far that i know a bit what they do, But have no clue what would be optimal.
So is there someone with the knowledge who could explain me whats the best out of the 2? And why?
I play mainly PVE But PVP will follow soon.
The perks on the scout rifles are as followed:
The Saterienne Rapier
Rodeo
Snapshot - Hammer forged - armor p. Rounds
Firefly
On the Badger CCL:
Who's next
High Caliber Rounds - Explosive Rounds - Custom Optics
Firefly
Thanks in advance for your time!

Since both have firefly, I would go with the badger personally because of the high cal rounds. Getting a scout to stagger is nice. Up to you though if you like the slow rate of fire/high impact (badger CCL) or quicker rate of fire with lower impact (rapier).

Um...yeah that one has firefly. It's a keeper

Rapier with ap for small game, badger for big game

I have all dlc scouts and they all have firefly. That is the one you want. Also outlaw is great to get as the other perk.

Edited by Steveo340: 1/29/2015 5:59:42 PMLucky you, I have been hoping for a scout with firefly to drop for me, and you got two! I would be happy with either one, but would probably concentrate on the Badger. While I prefer scouts with mid impact/mid rate of fire, like the Rapier, the mag size on the Rapier, if I recall correctly, is 13, while the Badger is 14. So, with the higher impact, the Badger will do considerably more damage per magazine. Firefly is amazing, I still use a 300 damage Calling, even though I have a maxed out Another NITC. The Calling may have lower damage, but it frequently kills 2 or even 3 adds with a single headshot (plus it has field scout, 27 round mag.) And headshots can clear out a gang of thralls right quick.

Both are good because they have Firefly, which is very good for taking out mobs. Rodeo is not super useful, since recoil on Rapier is not that high. Still could be useful though as it will probably make the gun rock-solid stable. So your roll is good but not as good as the vendor version, which has Outlaw (fast reload after crit kill). Hammer Forged is nice - not required, but puts your range to max. Main issue with this gun is that it has a small mag and no perks to help mitigate (Field Scout, reload perks). Who's Next is okay, a more limited version of Outlaw since you have to kill with the last few rounds of the magazine to make it work. Badger high-caliber rounds are nice for stagger. This is a better roll than the vendor version, which has bad perks. I would start with Badger as it's a solid, hard-hitting weapon and will likely serve you well. But both sound decent.
