What would you like to see in destiny?

What can I say. I love destiny for what it is, but there just feels like there's something missing. Over my gaming experiences and knowledge and throughout playing destiny I have brainstormed some ideas which I would have liked to see in destiny or hopeful in future updates: - Higher levels: Let's face it. Who doesn't like games where you can level up and earn greater rewards and look forward to more powerful abilities?! Personally I found reaching level 20 just a little bit to easy. If they at least made it something like level 50 then add the light to armour to increase it higher that would be pretty sweet. However I do realise they made it 20 for a reason. - Ship wars Ok so I don't see the whole point of the ships in destiny. I mean. Is it just something to admire while your game is loading? Just imagine flying around in an exotic ship with blaster on all sides blowing the bajesus out of other players! -Private crucible (multiplayer) Who likes kicking their mates ass in games? I know I do! So I haven't done everything in crucible yet so if it is made I'll look pretty stupid lol. But yeah. Name say it all. Versing your mates in death matches/free for all multiplayer :) -More planets Although the story wasn't too bad. I quite enjoyed it. It just seemed a little short for my taste. More planets should have been added to further the story rather than adding "the darkness below" to add extra story. Saturn/Mercury they would have been sweet. Uranus not so much... :) -Emotes master Personally I like the emotes in the game. But when I started as a warlock I saw another player bow to me. I wanted this rather than a stupid wave. Apparently warlocks are too good to bow. In the near future id like to see a npc in the tower which allows a player to switch their emotes to what they like best. -Maps It may be easy for some to learn the ways of the planets, but it takes me some time and I get lost easily -.- even if you had to search the area first before unlocking the map that would be sweet. Also having the ability to set waypoints would make it so much easier to navigate. -Points tracker (vanguard, dead orbit etc.) There already is one I know. But it only comes up as you get points. There should be an option to check all of your points and rankings for vanguard, dead orbit etc. I like to keep track and have a close eye on my progress without having to leave my objective. Dead ghost tracker. HOW MANY DEAD GHOSTS HAVE I FOUND?!?! I know I can check through the app. But. What if! WHAT IF MY PHONE DIED! Just a general stats option is needed I reckon lol. -Public voice chat So many things I wanna say to some players -Grimoire cards Just thought I'd add. I don't get it. If you think of anything which you would like to see in destiny or would like to comment on my ideas go for it :P hoping to see some of these in the future. :D

They should have a pvp war game where a whole planets patrol is turned into a conquest map... Would be so sick maybe have battlefields infamous 64 player map (i dont know if the servers can hold this) Because i like the feel of pvp in destiny and its nice environments... Also like the patrols are known to have certain "choke" points in the map (the narrow passages you ride your sparrow through) that could make more use of these easily passed areas.

  • Here's a few more ideas I have in mind. 02A. Doppelganger-like enemy types: enemies that literally morph into and mimic a player's Guardian. These doppelgangers will also have that player's currently selected subclass upgrades, stats, and gear for an added challenge. "Metal" enemies: insanely rare enemies with incredibly high defenses with equally high EXP yields (enough for at least two level-ups). To complicate thing, these enemies can spawn a la Public Events and flee if at any moment, so defeat them as quickly as possible. These would be similar to Metal Slimes in Dragon Quest and a great way to farm lots of EXP fairly shortly... if you're lucky enough to defeat them. Alien lifeforms besides the Falen/Hive/Vex/Cabal: considering that Destiny takes place on different planets and moons, it seems odd that there's barely any alien wildlife on those destinations. Assorted hostiles that have nothing to do with any enemy race could definitely add variety to Destiny's bestiary without resorting to palette swaps. 09. The option to swap Ascendent Shards for Ascendent Energy and vice versa. If Eris can offer players the option to swap Radiant Shards for Radiant Energy and vice versa, why not offer the same option for the Ascendant materials. 10. The option to get enemy weapons as either Legendary or Exotic weapons. I wouldn't mind the option to quest for weapons used by the Fallen/Hive/Vex/Cabal. Each quest would be tied to a given enemy race and involves a series of PVE challenges, preferably different challenges than what's being currently offered in the game. Each enemy weapon would have the same element and behave similar to the ones enemies used, albeit adjusted to match current weapon types (hand cannon, sniper rifle, etc.). Fallen Arsenal: Shock Pistol (Arc), Shock Rifle (Arc), Shrapnel Launcher (Solar), Wire Rifle (Arc) Hive Arsenal: Shredder (Void), Boomer (Arc) Vex Arsenal: Slap Rifle (Solar), Line Rifle (Solar), Torch Hammer (Void) Cabal Arsenal: Slug Rifle (Solar), Projection Rifle (Solar), Heavy Slug Thrower (Solar) 11. An easier way for players without headsets to communicate with players that own headsets. Typically, I don't play games that use headsets, so I little little reason to play one. Even after I began playing Destiny, I'm not compelled to buy one for only ONE game because I'm not too psyched about Raids. Feeling about headsets aside, I feel an improved emote system or even a macro message feature could help players without headsets communicate with other players more efficiently. First, special emotes such as nodding in agreement can be assigned to the control pad/d-pad. Second, special macros messages can be typed out in advance and saved among with that player's regular data. These message can then be used to communicate with others via the chat window without having to retype the same message over again in the midst of battle. 12. Give players the option to explore. Yes, I'm aware that Patrol gives players that option, but some areas and closed off. Admittedly, some of the closed off areas are reserved for Story, Strike, and Raid missions. Other areas, however, were made into "Turn Back Now" dead zones for some bizarre. What's the point of creating such large environments to explore when a player can't freely explore a region without an inane timer popping up? 13. Gives players more meaningful tasks to do that shake things up. Lately, myself and other players are spending less time on Destiny. As for myself, I feel the current content is awfully limited and repetitive. A fairly small amount of Story and Strike missions rotate as Daily Heroic Story and Weekly Heroic/Nightfall Strike missions. An even smaller amount of limited time Crucible modes rotate every few weeks. Only five Public Events (and a few minor events like roving Pikes and wars) are present and two of the game's destinations (Venus and Mars) barely have any Public Events. After a while, players will want something different to do beside running the same Raids over again and redoing the same Weekly Nightfall for the umpteenth time. It will be awesome if Destiny simply had more to do to limit the monotony. Some ideas include a mode where players can play as the enemy and defending the Tower from enemy attack. 14. More special events. It seems that the ONLY special events in Destiny are PVP modes such as special Crucible matches and the Iron Banner. The ONLY PVE event was Queen's Wrath and that hasn't returned since its debut, although I feel it'll return as a permanent feature with House of Wolves. So far, the only other event for Destiny is Trials of Osiris and there's no telling when that will debut. Based off a few other games with special events (FFXI/FFXIV, Puzzle & Dragons, WoW, Terra Battle), I strongly feel there should be more events planned for Destiny. A few ideas include a special player's choice "Xurfest" sale (a play off PAD's Godfests), a limited time dungeon or Raid with guaranteed loot drops, double EXP/rep gain period (which can stack with Radiant Light), and seasonal events/giveaways (New Year's, Easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc.). 15. Hybrid character classes. One thing I enjoy most about the Final Fantasy series in its Job Class system, which gives players access to multiple character classes. Although there's some overlap with some Job Classes, I appreciate the amount of variety that's available in some FF games. With Destiny, I'd say it would be great if either the following are new hybrid classes or new hybrid subclasses. Titan/Warlock hybrid Titan/Hunter hybrid Warlock/Titan hybrid Warlock/Hunter hybrid Hunter/Titan hybrid Hunter/Warlock hybrid 16. Expansions should FEEL like expansions. When I first heard about The Dark Below's content, I was shocked that it had so little content. The three new Story missions were fairly short and easily beaten within a hour, the two Strike missions (one for Xbox owners) were beaten within 30 minutes, the three Crucible maps only last as long as a standard Crucible match. As for the Raid, it's gotten to a point where players can beat it on its highest difficulty within 27 minutes. Needless to say, The Dark Below felt more like an add-on than a standard MMO expansion (which typically add at least one destination to explore. Hopefully, future Destiny "expansions" will be FEEL more expansive than simply offering a few missions players can beat within a day.

  • Those are some good ideas you have, especially the maps and points/dead ghost trackers. One of the first things odd I noticed about Destiny was the absence of fully accessible in-game maps. Granted, some robots at The Tower show players a map of that area and each "destinations" has a map via the Director, but those maps can't be accessed at any other time. A single overlap map option that can be access at any time would be a great addition.

Here's a few ideas I have in mind. 01. Major buff for most of The Tower's vendors: The Speaker, Eva, Banshee-44, Amanda, and Rahool are all in desperate need of massive stock overhauls. Granted, emblem and shader previews were added a couple updates ago and Eva sells more shaders now, but her stock still pales in comparison to the amount of shaders that appear as random rewards. 02: New enemy types per group: Although Destiny has a decent selection of enemies, the types of enemies per group feel limited. It'll be great to see more types of Fallen, Hive, Vex, and Cabal besides the ones who constantly appear in each and every mission. An expanded "bestiary" can diversify the enemy variety and also make use of the rarely used Void shields. Examples for new enemy types: airborne melee enemy, defensive enemy that shields allies from damage, melee-based Cabal/Vex, enemy cleric that can heal allies, enemy that can buff allies. 03: Make Motes of Light relevant: So far, they're mostly used for buying rather expansive class items and somewhat pricey emblems from The Speaker and exotic engrams from Xur. Personally, the latter option sounds more sensible than shelling out hard earned Motes on a fancy but pricey class item. Admittedly, Motes of Light will get more attention when the Trials of Osiris is released, but there's no telling when that event will begin. 04. Randomly generated dungeon-style: This mode would have random enemies and loot chests in random destinations with random level designs to keep players on their foes. It'll be similar to some dungeons in other games (Diablo and Torchlight), include a minimum level requirement, and perhap even scalable enemy levels. A potentially good break from replaying the same Story, Strike and Raid missions over again. 05. A few more single player friendly modes: I know this game is mostly for social gamers, but it wouldn't hurt to include some more single player modes such. A few ideas include special Quests from the Vanguard/Factions that aren't related to bounties/patrols and assorted single player challenges (Daily Epic Story?). Not everyone is psyched for PvP and Raids. 06. The option to reroll Legendary gear's upgrades/element: A handy feature that enables players to reroll a Legendary weapon/armor's upgrades at the cost of some special currency (Motes of Light, anyone). Especially handy if RNGesus hasn't "blessed" you with Legendary weapons with a specific element. A similar feature was added for Legendary weapons obtained from the recent Iron banner events. 07. Getting something out of scrapping unwanted Sparrows and Jumpships: Scrapping a vehicle only to get nothing feels awkward. Maybe an option to sell or trade in unwanted vehicles can work without throwing the game's economy out of balance. 08. More stuff to do at The Tower: I'm sure more activities will be add to The Tower as new expansions are released, but so far the main post-Story activities mostly include bounties, Xur, and recruiting players for end-game stuff (Weekly Heroic/Nightfall, Raids). Also, The Tower itself feels small compared to major cities in MMO-styled games such as Final Fantasy XI.
