Why did lucarse decide to name all Sith lords "Darth"
when that was originally Vader's unique title?
English
-
Because it's short for "Dark Lord of the Sith."
-
Yea but like its the same thing with the lightsaber it made Darth Vader unique now he's just like every other boring Sith Lord.
-
The lightsaber didn't make him unique.

Edited by THA rofltard: 1/29/2015 12:37:41 AMBefore the prequels he was the only dude with a red lightsaber. In Return of the Jedi the Emperor specifically refers to the lights bare as a Jedi weapon if I am remembering that correctly
-
Ohhh I never thought of it like that.
-
yea its implied in the original films that the Sith are evil mages (like Sauron or Saruman) the reason Vader has a lightsaber is because he used to be a Jedi (and is more adept with a sword than space magic I suppose) this whole idea was -blam!-ed up, of course, by the prequels and, to some extent, the expanded universe

Ironically, the simplicity made Vader stand out as a former Jedi more than anything. Sith as a whole tend to gravitate towards flashier designs. Maul- Saberstaff Dooku- Curved-hilt saber Sidious- Electrum-plated saber Darth Souls- Cruciform saber. Etc.
