Edited by Endgame77: 1/28/2015 10:36:27 PMNo, I actually understand tech and buy a new tv every couple years. I probably spend 5000-10000$ a year on electronics. How about you?
-
I buy a TV regularly also, and I spend at least more than $1000 yearly on electronics. Why would you get a plasma when you can get a 4K or at least a LED?
-
Wow, it's really funny that you say "at least LED" when Plasmas destroy LED's in color, black levels, refresh rate, and viewing angles. You seem like the type of person that the Best Buy agent talks into buying a television.

Thanks for the insight, some people don't know everything. I had a plasma a few years ago, it was ok. Now I use a 65' Samsung 4K. It does enough for me.

No problem The real innovation is Oled. Oleds don't have the "oil painting" problems that LEDs generally have and have superb black levels. It's looking like this year we'll have many Oleds in the 1500-2500$ range. Here's hoping they're as high quality as their expensive counterparts.
-
Oh cool, I'll look into those. My speciality isn't tech but it is cars. Everyone enjoys different stuff I guess.
-
For sure. Check out LGs line of Oleds if you're interested. Many in an affordable range. I'm sure Samsung/Panasonic/Sony will follow suit, but they haven't announced their new line-ups yet.

Yeah, I'm good with this 4K for a while. I know may look into those, maybe for my bedroom, since this is in my home theater.
