How to get the Nechrochasm/Crux Of Crota
I just got the Crux Of Crota myself playing the Hard Raid on my 2nd character. Because I was still seeing so many people with questions about how to get it, here's how:
- Be sure to have both the Cryptographic shader and the Glowhoo shader in your inventory (If you do not have the Cryptographic in your inventory, you will get it along with Glowhoo from Hard mode crota which both take up the place of the Crux).
- You do NOT need to have the Eidolon Ally with you or upgraded. You don't even need to have it/have the Husk Of The Pit. The drop is standalone.
- You can't play the Hard Raid multiple times to get it. It drops just like the other loot so you can only get a chance 3 times a week (if you have 3 characters).
- You do NOT have to be the swordbearer. In the run where I got it, I was the swordbearer, but me and someone else BOTH got the crux. Everyone has a chance to get it.
- If you haven't beaten Hard Mode yet with your 2nd or 3rd character but you do have the Glowhoo shader, just give the Glowhoo shader to your 2nd/3rd character. This will give you a chance to get the crux first try.

2 RepliesMy friend got the Crux the first time he did Hard Crota, EVER. And he only has one character. He also got the Vex on the first time he beat Hard Atheon. See a pattern? So did I. He is RNGesus.

From soloing the daily heroic using only husk of the pit with inverted controls

None of this is correct. All you have do do is beat crota on hard. It's in the loot table and will drop when it's number comes up. That's it.

I've gotten the crux twice and both times I did not have either shader in my inventory.

3 RepliesTip #1: You need to have Gloohoo, equipped or not. Gloohoo drops the 1st time you do crota on HM. Tip#2: Run Crota HM a 2nd time and it will drop.

Point/wave to Crota, he will point/wave back. Upon defeating him, due to your kindness and recognition towards him, he will give you the crux. Jk it's random. Love the necro though

2 RepliesI have a question regarding the crux of crota... so I have been doing some reading online about how to obtain the crux and it still seems a bit vague to me. I have beaten hm crota a couple times now and only on my second time doing it did i actually recieve the glowhoo shader (from what I understand it was supposed to be a guaranteed drop the first time). Regardless, it seems to me that the majority of people are of the understanding that you must first beat hm crota, and then the second time beating hm crota within that same week is the drop that has the chance of offering the player the crux. Am I correct in this? If anyone could reply with a for sure answer I would appreciate it as I am still attempting to obtain said item. 2 RepliesAll you have to do is kill crota. Don't listen to any of this madness. I got them back to back and had no special shader, emblem, or class item equipped.

You do not have to have a shader of any sort in your inventory. Just have to have 1 Crota HM clear before it's available as a drop.

Pretty sure this makes no sense. I've beaten him 3 times a week since he came out with all above logic and no crux. It's called getting lucky
