So Deej hasn't had any forum activity since the 23rd. Why? Ben Obiwan made a very popular post about the "update we'll never get" for destiny that has infected the forums like ebola, and no Deej. Anywhere. Like, he seriously has no opinion on the matter? Seriously? ActiBungie confuses me.
Y U DO DIS BUNGIVISION?
Edit: I know the tags are very silly. But I am serious. I just always do #anal #buttsecks and usually #lenny.
it's the noble thing to do.
Edit: #2 This reply I made to a reply pretty much sums up my emotions about Deej.
Well I love the forums personally. Mainly #floof.
But I do agree that his presence is needed other than the occasional "hey you guys rock and here's some statistics"
Like, when he mentioned he was pushing transmogrification at the meetings. It was great. I gained hope again.
But it's been three days and bungie tried to hide the "update we'll never get" and still no response.
I don't hate deej, and I know it's not his fault this game is broke, but I thought he was responsible for being the voice between BungiVision and us, the #floof. It would just be nice for an explanation from deej.
I mean, he has to know stuff right?
Oh dear, DeeJ has been missing for 3 days. I guess we should form a search party and look for him. Contrary to popular belief, a community managers only job isn't to sit on social media or the community forum, or to post content on the site. He's explained before that he's also tasked with bringing what he learns to the attention of those who should hear it. That means all sorts of meetings and other BS that can take up hours and even days depending on the depth of things. Getting content ready to be posted on the site isn't cake walk either. He can't just write whatever he feels like and immediately post it. Someone has to review it, tell him what needs to be changed or completely omitted, then he needs the time to actually complete those requests and have it reviewed again. This probably happens a hundreds times until he's just ready to set the next draft on fire before putting it through for review. There's also the possibility that his lack of presence here is out of his control. Reasons for that can be quite numerous. Yes, including the popular assumption that Bungie is merely hoping the heat dies down. Though I would like to believe this isn't the case. I'm unsure if I'll get any flak for my defense of Bungie hear, but just let it be know that I too am saddened by the lack of community involvement Bungie has chosen since coming back from being in the dark between their last Halo title and Destiny. I was also disappointed with Destiny, refusing to pick it up again until I see some things I feel that need to be addressed get a little attention. That being said, I'm also disappointed in the community as well. Destiny isn't a terrible game and yes it needs to be improved, but the shouting and the insults, it's childish. Regardless of the future, whether Bungie draws people back in or everyone finally decided to move on, I'm here 'til the end. I'll be sure to help put the chairs up on the table and hit the lights on my way out, Bungie can lock up from there.
