Sorry for the delay, I recently had a new baby sister and I went to the hospital to see her. Remember, feedback is still always welcomed here!
Part 6: Old Friends
“Saliks?!”
“Matthew?!” They said in both unison and surprise. Matthew’s expression of shock quickly turned into that of rage,
“You… You killed my parents!”
The sounds of more fallen could be heard over the hill.
“We do not have time for this…” Saliks said, grabbing Matthew by the wrist,
“You killed m-!” Matthew practically began to shout, but Saliks put one of his hands over the teenager’s mouth, and made a strange gargling noise, cussing in the Fallen’s strange language, while he guided them into a dark alleyway before the other Fallen rushed by.
“Look, you parents are only unconscious; they will be fine as long as you keep quiet.” Saliks practically hissed the word quite, and Matthew obliged.
Once the horde of Fallen rushed past, Saliks peeked his head out of the darkness and look both ways down and up the street, checking for any more of the Fallen, who then motioned for Matthew to get out of cover.
Matthew gazed at the scene before him. What once used to be him home was but a flaming remnant of a district of the city. Dead and twitching bodies lay strewn across the streets, both of Guardians, Citizens, and Fallen.
“Come, it is no longer safe here.” Saliks said, after 15 minutes of Matthew staring at the horrific sight.
“But… this is my home.” Matthew said under his breath. Saliks seemed to hear him,
“Not anymore.” He said grimly, “Follow me.”
Somehow, Saliks knew exactly where the loose grate was in district 6, as he led Matthew directly to there, both of them ducking into cover at the least sight of activity.
“How did you find this?” Matthew asked Saliks.
“I may have followed you a few times…” The Fallen boy responded,
Matthew frowned, looking at his Fallen friend as Saliks began taking off the grate,
“You followed me into human territory?” He asked, not quite sure whether to be outraged or impressed,
“You came into the wilderness many times.” Saliks responded, pulling off the grate with ease.
“But this is different!” Matthew insisted, but decided not to push any further.
The two reunited friends crawled through the tunnel in silence, not speaking to each other as they had nothing to talk about. Matthew frowned at the uncomfortable silence, but didn't say anything.
Once they got out they both gazed at the place they once played together, the place they once learned together.
“Come.” Saliks said, gesturing to the fence.
Saliks easily climbed to the top of the fence and helped Matthew up when he was struggling to climb the tall barrier.
Just beyond the drop-off of the hill behind the fence, Matthew could see what looked like an abandoned camp sight, but as he slid down the hill and got closer he recognized the Fallen technology.
“This place… Was my home. The boot camp I stayed in.” Saliks said as they walked through the abandoned settlement. Saliks then headed towards a building to their left, and its doors slid open as if to welcome the two.
Saliks rummaged through the supplies in the small building until he found what looked like a padded full bodysuit that covered everything but the head. He cut of two of its four arms with an uncharged Shock Dagger.
“This looks about your size.” The fallen boy said, tossing it over to his human friend. Matthew thanked him and searched around for a hidden area to change his clothes.
When Matthew finally managed to get into the padded bodysuit it felt very strange. It squeezed against his body, but it didn’t feel tight or constrictive. It did, however, force him to divide five of his fingers into three on each hand, and his toes were divided into two, but other than that the bodysuit was surprisingly comfortable and light. Save for the two holes in the side where Saliks cut two of the extra arms off.

This is great! The only thing is, (A small grammar error) when Saliks tells Matthew to be "Quiet" you spelled it "quite." Other than that, it's great so far!
