Sorry, if someone already came up with this. I didn't read through 38 pages of comments. I'd like to see legendary raid weapons be upgradable like exotics. In fact, it could be handled in the exact same way where Xur offers random upgrades if you have the item, a radiant item, and 7k glimmer. However, I don't think this should be extended to raid gear. That way Bungie can continue to sell their expansions and we can keep using the weapons we love. Win-win. Bungie says that they want us to grow attached to our characters, but our characters don't get to make decisions in the story or display any distinct personality traits for us to identify with, so that doesn't happen. Instead we grow attached to our weapons. We struggle to get them and it is a joyous experience when we finally get what we worked so hard for. They reflect us through our varying play styles. If we have to give up our favorite weapons because they can no longer keep up with the content levels, then it will disconnect us with our characters a little bit at a time and that is the opposite of what Bungie says that they want to do.
