It looks dope on warlocks and lame on hunters. Not enough shine

I disagree. Put it on a Hunter with (for instance) the VOG cloak and tell me that bad baby don't shine ;)

No doubt it looks amazing with the cloak, but the armor is barely touched

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. I think the colors look good on the hunters (not just novel).
