Here is some info on that in case it got burried by the forums.
This was discovered by a reddit user during a bug and was later removed off the forum but later reposted on major news sites, so its hardly new info, but Christmas noobs weren't aware they were being lied to by Bungie, so I just wanted to remind them that House of Wolves DLC is already on your Destiny Disk, it just doesn't have any enemies.

For accuracy purpose, These areas do exist and people were able to glitch into them, but their entrances may have been patched already? Also, about the levels in the screenshots. I am assuming the levels are lower, because this was meant to be released with the full game, but now the mission and strike levels will be 10 levels higher, so 32 instead 22 for example. These are not fake by the way.
P.S. The entire Destiny the Game is 40 GB total. Just FYI. The Expansion is 3 missions, 1 raid, 1 or 2 strikes, and 4+ pvp maps. That will be a very small download comparatively. So please if you choose to post criticism, make it constructive.

2 RepliesJust like TDB was already on the disc, yet we had to download a 2gb patch ? If you actually went to the glitched area, you'll notice it's far from complete. Even if the full map was already on the disc, it doesn't mean it's playable. A lot of work goes into it, more than just maps. Not my intention to defend bungie and get into the "cut content before release and resell as DLC" debate.

It's only cut content if it was originally intended to be in the base game. If it was always intended to be DLC (which seems likely), then there's no issue here.

It was added to our disk because we would end up downloading 6gb for each dlc if they didn't. Idk about you but 6 gb download isn't really a quick download compared to it being pre loaded and ready to go. Dlcs were in mind when they were in the first stages of making the game. I have no doubt it my mind that the house of wolves or the dark below were not cut content. It is an open world game so obviously they aren't going to have 2 new planets added on each dlc because if they tried to add on new spots on already existing maps it would create all kinds of bugs and glitches. Please if you do not enjoy destiny or appreciate bungie for making such a good game, then leave. No one will miss you

1 Reply3d level design is easy for the bungie team. That's what takes the most mb to create- textures, 3d assets, etc Creating a story and scripting it is the hard part, but doesn't take 2gb to download which is why these "glitch" areas are already on the disc

2 RepliesBesides everyone else's comment that the disc content isnt complete, why would u want all this content at the same time? Getting 5 strikes was enough at launch We don't need 15 of them, thats just overwhelming Same with raids VoG was good for the first few months, then they released CE which got people to come back and play If u had all your content at once, you would be overwhelmed and not enjoy it as much Whether or not you are willing to pay for the content in chunks is up to u
