If you'd like some reasons as to why 31s shouldn't run hard crota's end, here are a couple pertaining to the crota fight.
1. If you thought they'd at least be useful for boomers you're wrong, boomers now have yellow health bars and take level 32s 4+ headshots with snipers to kill.
2. There is no chalice, which means not only will they take more damage, they will have a harder time regaining health.

What about this, 32s would focus on boomers while the 31s( who probably should be no more than two) focus on the surrounding enemies. Boomers would be down and theb swordbearer etc then rinse and repeat? Then again i suck at strategies :)

You'd still die MUCH faster than a 32. The enemies are level 33+ so every level you are below them they do more damage to you. Which means more oversouls and since you can't be revived, less people to finish the fight. My 31 felt useless trying the abyss. 2 or 3 hits from thrall and I was dead. lol

You only die if you get hit, stay agile.

No surrounding enemies need to be killed, the swordbearer needs at least 2 32s on him, boomers could use 2 32s as well, which leaves 2 for taking down crota's shield asap, and 31s won't cut it for that either.

Not even if the had the Horn of plenty?

On my 32 warlock I used my ghorn to help take down crota's shield, I fired 2 rockets, teammates fired 2-3 rockets, and then shot him some more before he went to a knee. His shield soaks up a lot more damage this time around.

Hmm, Okay what about after boomers (these 32s would have IBs) Would get taken down the two 32s and 31s help take down his shield when the swordbearer is down? After the sword carrier would slash and dash crota everyone would get back to their posts? once again i suck at strategies :).

After the boomers a wizard spawns (in place of the bridge knight) it also has a yellow health bar.
