WARNING INCOMING PERSONAL RANT
After an unfortunate encounter with a certain cynical british asshole *cough* Yahtzee *cough* I find myself being unable to approach anything video game related on the internet or socially without feeling depressed afterwards.
Even reviewers I liked such as Angry Joe or TB seem to just make me angry or regretful about my chosen game repertoire.
And yet I find myself inexplicably returning to these places of vitriole like a moth flies toward the light of the bug zapper that will eventually kill it.
It's almost as If i'm on the receiving end of an abusive relationship and I keep coming back for more like a retarded stepchild on sunday and now I'm rambling.
I also find no solice in most chats or forums because everyone is either trolling with console wars, or making me doubt myself with the whole elitist "Your stupid for not playing on PC" bullshit.
Am I insane or just Insecure!?
Why do I feel bad for having fun!?
I reach out to the hoards of the Internet in my time of need.
Halp plz?

You're stupid if you're not on PC.
-
Play games you think look fun. Don't listen to reviews from IGN. There will always be people who hate a game you like, just ignore them. If you can find a demo or beta for a game you are looking at, play it and see if you like it.
-
Maybe you should play more video games instead of spending time on the internet.
-
People are always going have different opinions then you. Never let them bother you. Be yourself.
Seriously, that is good advice.
-
The internet is a trash hole of opinions. Unfortunately negativity typical garners the most attention. I prefer gametrailers as the reviewer typically actually outlines the tangible parts of the game in a fairly objective manner. Then i can make an informed and if i like a game i spend time with people of the same mindset. If someone chooses to judge you for liking a game they dont then u can safely ignore them

Always give ZERO cares about other people and "game journalists" opinions The only opinion that you should care about is your own.
-
Wtf are you talking about?
-
Screw the try hards, and the elitists. Play your games your way! You only suck, when you stop enjoying it.
I suck at PvP fps, but I love 'em. So I mute everyone, and go out and get killed a bunch of times. But when I get a kill.....it's orgasmic!
Edited by Unyielding: 1/21/2015 3:58:35 AMYahtzee's standards are so -blam!-ing high for games of course he's dissapointed with the majority he reviews. I don't even care about what he has to say.
-
I'm a gamer and proud, couldn't give two shits what anyone else thinks
-
Insecure maybe but it shouldn't matter what people think about the games you like. If you like them who cares if you like them because it's better to play the games you like and enjoy than the what other games people like. I mean I have the unpopular opinion that Bayo 2 is way DA:I and people think that's crazy!
-
Me personally take review with a grain of salt if I like it I like it don't really care what other people say. I do find zero punctuation hilarious just meticulously ripping every game I kinda wish more reviewers did that. Send a message to developers to make a good game instead having all reviewers (example IGN) gock at popular game even if they are mediocre (example dare I say super smash bros)

So, when you talk about a game, you immediately feel awkward or depressed about it? Or am i not understanding this?
-
You have bad taste in vidya and your body knows it.
