How often, and how should I do it? I rarely clean them, and I use earbuds a lot. It's annoying to feel it stick up against the wax and see it come out on it... gross. How do I clean them? I heard Q-tips are unhealthy and pack it in.

Edited by VerticalGradient: 1/19/2013 12:02:42 AMWell, you can safely use Q-tips to swab the inside of your ear that surrounds the ear canal (not inserting it into your ear canal, 'cause that's not a great idea). You can also pour a few millilitres of low-percent (3% or something) hydrogen peroxide into your ear (including ear canal, unless the ear drum is ruptured or something, then that's really not good), and let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes, and then drain it out. If you do that I'd pull your hair back, if it's longish, 'cause peroxide bleaches hair.
