I mean Christians believe that when we die, we go to heaven or hell. But if I go to heaven, what's there gonna be? Am I gonna be stuck for eternity wandering the sea of clouds or something?
I was sitting in bed and was thinking about this for a while. What is there waiting in the afterlife? Eternal boredom? Do we get reincarnated? damned to wander the earth? Can I at least possess some stuff?
Or do we do the american dad thing where heaven has out own individual rooms?
What do you guys think?
What happens when we die

I see a few distinct possibilities: A) Religion is right, we go to heaven (or its analogous form, such as Nirvana). This could be interpreted various ways, depending on how you view heaven/it's analog. B) Religion is wrong, and we just lose all sensory input, and have no ability to think anymore. Which I find legitimately terrifying, but hey, to each their own. C) Religion is right again, and we get sent to Hell. Which could be entertaining in foresight, bad in hindsight. D) Some religions were right, and we get reincarnated. Which has its pros and cons. And, one of my personal hypothesis. Supposedly, in the last few minutes of your life, your mind replays your entire life's events for you. To me, that includes the very end where it replays everything. And again, and again, and again... Which ties into a quote from Red vs Blue:
If you're going to spend the rest of your life inside of a memory, you may as well make it a good one.
We go in the f**king dirt or into a f**king furnace if you choose to be cremated. There's nothing up in the sky waiting for you. Just hungry worms about 6 feet below the surface of the Earth. Isn't life grand?

Hell/Heaven. Just with different names for every religion.

This.

We go into a coffin and into the ground.

I think of it as like a giant city type thing, you can visit the earth but not as a person, just observe. Also you can have whatever you want in heaven

We die and that's it. Black out. Nada.

In my religion, we believe we just go back to once where we came (the earth or dust) and our spirits basically go into this hibernation mode until judgement day comes.

My understanding of it is that Heaven is like Earth, only there is no sin. Meaning it's perfect. Also, after the Rapture, a new Earth will be made, it will literally be Heaven on Earth. Hell to my understanding is eternal burning in lake of fire, by yourself, with all your life's pain reoccuring. I haven't read too much of Revelation (difficult to interpret, etc) so I don't have a full understanding.

I think once we die, we see the words "Game Over: You died" and then we have the option of quitting all together or reverting to a last save, which is any birthday that we've ever had.

Probably just some crappy reincarnation.
with my luck I'll be some bug or crap like that next
You can have eternal life... IF you believe in the Great Journey.
-
It's not important to me. I believe in making the world that I know exists better rather than letting the hype get to me for a ride that might be closed down. If I think about the afterlife for too long, I start freaking out a little bit and question what I'm doing with my life.
