If they do it for the NHL,NBA,MLB and maybe the premier league or another futbol league, sure.
If not don't bother, the player base isn't 100% American.
Although Bungie is located in Seattle (Kirkland I think) so maybe if the Seahawks win and a shader comes out I wouldn't mind. But not the patriots. ( I give 0 -blam!-s about the NFL either way)

Football is probably the most popular US sport though, and most of their consumers are in the US.

But when the only people I meet are from the US with an occasional person from the UK, the logical conclusion is that most players are American. And geographical matchmaking would not be a factor since I only meet people from the forums to raid. Thus, they could come from anywhere. Regardless, at the very least there are MANY US players in this game, and it is a US company. I see no reason why they shouldn't participate in our cultural events.

The logical conclusion would be time zones are far different. I work night shifts I come home and play for a bit before bed. I play with English people all the time, by that conclusion English people are the majority. Sales figures will hold the truth

What's your point anyway? You find it offensive someone thinks it would be cool to have a cultural element of the devs home nation be recognized in the game? I wouldn't give a crap if some UK devs made note of a sports event or WHATEVER at home. But am I gunna come on here and be a butthead about it? No. And the Internet is not being very helpful right now either. No cut and dried stats concerning US sales compared to UK. Although charts usually have Destiny in top 3 for US figures.

U.K, Canada, Mexico, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, France and many others Vs. United States Not just UK I'm gonna say sales are 60/40 for one side. Besides if it's popularity we are after Futbol is the most popular sport in the word compared to gridiron only popular in the states and in some cities in canada

I'm gonna change gears on this argument as I've just found out the patriots cheated using deflated footballs. The second time they've been caught cheating. The NFL is a joke, full of criminals and cheaters. Why would anyone with any integrity want a celebration of its championship.

Team cheats their way to the superbowl and i'm scraping for examples. Patriots have been caught twice cheating lol. You must enjoy the WWE too.... NFL is a joke and this solidifies it.

Not all are criminals and cheaters. The NBA actuslly has more but it gets less attention. Hockey is also a world wide sport. But we forget that too don't we?
