Thanks for the ADVICE! Goodbye to my Young Girlfriend!!
So, I am back.. As you may have read about my situation already about having to make a decision between Gaming and my Girlfriend... To refresh your memory or if you may not know yet, I had to make a decision to either be with my girlfriend or stop grinding Destiny (Full story here http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/93198637/0/0)
Today I decided to let her leave my house as I couldn't take drama any more, she asks me to cut back time on Destiny which I feel I'll be losing out... I work full time and use all my time to play because just like everybody else I want Icebreakers, MIDA Tools and Fatebringers!
So to me it seemed selfish of her to ask me to stop playing so much to spend time with her.... As I work hard at work everyday and bring home money, rent and putting food on the table she should show a little more respect and gratitude towards me. It seems as if she takes me for granted and wants more and more from me. So I've decided to let her go because no way in hell would I give up my gaming for her.. Ungrateful woman I must say but anyway I do want to thank you people for all the advice on my other thread! It really helped.
Good riddance to her.

2 RepliesDon't listen to people saying your not mature. Its immature to think we should be miserable instead of happy. As long as you didn't put a baby on her, like I did, keep looking til you find one who wants you to be happy. If you need to game when you get off work you should be able to game. If your ignoring her constantly its not the game its most likely her. Don't forget we get to be happy. I think its mature for you to realize this and move on.

4 RepliesHahahahha I really hope this is a joke. If this is true, you're the selfish one. You're in a committed relationship and you neglect her to spend all your time on a meaningless game. I have 2 out of 3 of those guns you want and I only play maybe an hour to 2 hours a day with an occasional (1 night out of 3 weeks) night to raid. I work in a factory full time never knowing if I'll have OT or not and still make the majority of my time for my wife. Get off the game and go live in reality for awhile. You are in serious need of a reality check

6 RepliesThe decision can be ok, but it seems to me you did it for the wrong reasons. If you prefer gaming over a girlfriend you are simply stupid. If you do not want to accept ultimatums as you know that another one is going to follow for something else, then you were right.

She knew I play video games before we got married but Destiny is the first game since borderlands 2 that really is keeping me glued to the couch grinding for loot. So yesterday finally got the talk. It wasn't an ultimatum she just basically asked me to cut back because its out of hand. But it's cool each character is level 31 so all I need to do is raids and weekly's now. Should be less grindy.

2 RepliesI see a lot of people hard biased one way or another. I had a very similar situation. My girl wanted me to stop gaming. I tool care of her son like my own. I worked my ass of usually 7 days a week and paid for almost everything. I loved her very much. I do love her very much but her neediness was too much. She wanted me sitting on the couch watching reruns of teen mom. Sorry but no. She came home one day and gave me the ultimatum. You should never give someone you love an ultimatum. You should never remove their choice. I let her go. It was hard but I refuse to live that way. I'm a grown ass man and will not be forced into anything.
