I like to be able to customize my gear, so it bugs me a little that certain Exotic armor; especially chest armor, cannot be re-colored by armor shaders.
I suppose it makes sense with the more intricate ornate pieces like the Crest of Alpha Lupi or Light Beyond Nemesis... but why can't we change the colors of the more plain Exotic armor? Specifically, Starfire Protocol for the Warlocks, and The Armamentarium for the Titans. You can actually see a Titan in the ending cutscene (at the end of "The Black Garden" story mission) who is wearing an orange version of The Armamentarium, like he has the Achilles shader equipped.
Bungie has slipped in minor aesthetic changes in patches before; like changing weapon sound effects and such. How hard would this be to implement, to have shaders apply to Exotic chest armor?
EDIT: For all those who keep saying no Exotic armor pieces are affected by shaders, there actually are some for Warlocks and Hunters:
-Voidfang Vestments (Warlock Chest)
-Sunbreakers (Warlock Gloves)
-Apotheosis Veil (Warlock Helmet)
-Lucky Raspberry (Hunter Chest)
-Achlyophage Symbiote (Hunter Helmet)
-Young AhamKara's Spine (Hunter Gloves)

That's just how some exotics are. Here is a list of exotics that aren't affected by shaders. The ones not included are affected: Armentarium (actually most of it can be colored, just the center part can't be) Praxic fire Starfire Protocol Claws of Ahamkara (the actually Ahamkara part, the rest is actually part of the chest piece) Spine of Ahamkara (same statement as above) All Warlock helmets All Titan helmets Ruin wings Mk. 44 stand asides Think that's the list, hope this is found useful
