I would like to see a massive Public Event where there are droves of enemies from all factions and 20 or so guardians, just pure chaos with no huge objective in site other than to KILL EVERYTHING.
Not like Skyrim which get boring after two sessions

Like a lot of things in Destiny, these would simply be limited by the old console hardware they're limited to. Maybe we'll see larger scale when the game finally abandons the old platforms, but until then, it's small-scale stuff only.
-
Still think we should have tower attacks or orbit wars
-
So far I havent seen more than 6 guardians at time, I smell patrol instances are limited to 6... sucks but can be fixed if bungie wants
-
Have you been at Skywatch when all hell breaks loose??

Destiny 2

I would love to see one that would take every guardian on a given planet to be accomplished and would make use of a vast area of that planet. Something like taking down a huge enemy mothership that is flying across the map. Players would have to get rid of the drop ship enemies and then hit the mothership with all they have until it's down. This event could happen once or twice a day with an alarm sounding on the tower to let every guardian there know where their next stop should be.

They do have ground swarm events however you can only have 16 people or so to a map anyway.

Bump yes this would be the bomb it would be so much fun

Should be like Survival mode in GTA V

I think the DLC releases should be public events. Imagine one huge mission involving completing so many strikes, so many raids, donating resources to build something like a portal, guardians having to defend a key point for a couple of weeks or so. One big event where every guardian on every system is working together to complete one major mission. Could be fun!

I think it would be cool if there was a huge campaign, and fireteams were randomly assigned an objective to complete that would affect the whole outcome. E.G: a fireteam has to destroy a major supply depot, which if completed, would affect the number of enemies that another (or your own) fireteam would fight against in a later objective. You could make a set fireteam (so it's always the same 3 people), and it would be assigned to a platoon/battalion etc, that would be sent to a planet. Or not fireteams, but clans. That would at least make clans useful in the game. Once that planet is completed, you could be moved to another. Making it so actions by individual fireteams would affect the way the battles/wars for each area are decided would be pretty cool. Make it like a real war. That way those who are REALLY good, can actually become legends. Some 12 year old in Seattle would be like Audie Murphy or something. Doing all that would need so much organising and control it would be impossible to do, I understand. But, It would be cool.

This is possible, very possible. If not start like normal public events start while you're patrolling and such, it could be a random notification on the map, like the green ones at the tower, but on a random planet. Select it and it loads you into a game with others and gives you a heads up on what's going on like every mission when little light talks. Could be like a fallen ship has crash landed carrying guardian prisoners, and they keep coming in drop ships to prevent the rescue, make like objective based not its guard ghost. And eventually another faction comes in. For exams the hive come in to try and kill the prisoners or capture them theirselves for the light. Idk, but your idea for massive public events would be so much fun.

They should have a mode about the huge battle at the twlight gap

Skywatch about every half hour shit hits the fan
