You do realize the level of those enemies right? They are level 5s on earth and this is one of the only place where the obsidian mind will work like that. Try using that combo in strikes or even a raid. Don't get overhyped over something that is being show in a complete perfect situation.

have you ever been in the middle of the enemies moving against one another? then you know the more you kill them the stronger they get. their level doesn't reflect the increase but they get much much stronger with every one of them you kill. plus this is obviously just a show of power as no other real area of the game spawns enemies that fast other than the raid. nova bomb does kill all the raid thralls and acolytes too by the way so this is still viable there. it kills adds in VOG as well so before the Templar is a good use of it and even in most strikes/nightfalls as longs as they aren't yellow bar enemies.

Actually works even better with high level yellows.

This combo will work in ANY mission etc with a "wave" section, such as the start of Sepiks Prime Strike...... It's not as if this example is the only area with lots of enemies......

On the thrall section of Crotas end you can actually do almost the same. Except that you have to wait for them to spawn.

Yeah I've seen it done. I like the don't touch me gauntlets, blade dancer and invis perks with an agility special weapon with bad juju as primary. Keeps you invisible, fast and with a special through most of the raid. It can save the life of hunters that have no other defensive perks like self Rez or bubble. A Little bit of invisibility goes a long way in Crota's end.

Oh hell yeah. That's how I first solo Crota's End. I used my hunter invisibility and Patience and Time. I had to get the patience and time and crouching invisibility part for the thrall section down doe it was hard at the beginning because I never thought all of these cheeses existed.
