Rockstar released an update on Jan. 13 stating that the release date for the PC version of GTAV has changed. It has moved from January 27 to March 24. What does this mean? That heists are also delayed. They stated that heists will be released after the PC version of the game is released. Their excuse? The usual. They wanted to "polish the game" to make it "the best it could be." I told people this would happen. They've been doing it for the past year and (almost) a half.
First it was a few weeks after GTAO released.
Then it was late 2013.
Then it was early 2014.
Then it was summer 2014.
Then it was fall 2014.
Then it was "the first title update after next gen release" (which was nov. 17 iirc).
Then it was early 2015.
Now it's sometime past march (which could still be considered early 2015, but they still changed it (again))
I have been telling people this for the past year: Rockstar is going to suck every penny they can out of GTAV before they release heists. If they release heists, then cash card sales will plummet due to the increase in player income. Cash cards are the only secondary source of income for GTAV, so why would they give that up? My advice? Don't buy cash cards. Rockstar is showing blatant disregard for their GTA playerbase all in the name of money. It's quite pathetic to be honest, especially considering its the best selling game in history. They broke even with GTAV just on PRE-ORDERS. Everything after that was icing on the cake.
UPDATE: Upon further reading of the article, it states that heists will release alongside PC, but only for PC. Heists for consoles will release in the following weeks. It's pretty hilarious considering the game is complete for consoles, yet PC (which is supposedly still in the works) is getting them first.
