How is sniping in the back not a play style? Maybe its not a play style that you agree with or maybe it doesnt go well with how YOU play but who the F are you to tell people how to play their game? Just be happy that they are active and not AFKing for -blam!-s sake.
There is definitely nothing wrong with sniping from the back cliff on Archon Priest. You get very little attention up there. It's so far away that the Archon misses most of his shots and with the IB you can stagger him and let everyone unload heavies/supers/snipes on him without having to dodge fire from Shanks and such.
If all 3 players have an IB then the archon priest should never move from his spawn point either which speeds things up dramatically. Having an IB is a different experience of its own. For those that have wanted one a long time why is it not ok to do what the rest of us with IB have been doing for months? I enjoy staying back and sniping if teamates are down in the trenches and I enjoying having cover fire from teammates that want to snipe if I am down in the trenches.
Would you be mad if I wanted to build a car with legos because you think everyone should build planes?

Not sure why you are defending the Black Hammer to me though. During the initial spawn pre-Archon it doesnt hurt to have two people sniping but yeah, you typically need one person to kill the hiding shank or whatever.

Let people play how they -blam!-ing want you assbag. You can snipe up there and switch to a long range scout and do just as much damage as you can from down below but have the safety of not getting shot back at. How about I create a post where I complain about reviving you noob -blam!-heads that get killed down there on an easy ass strike. You lost everyone when you decided that everyone should play the way YOU want them to play. I couldn't care less how you play but who the F are you to tell others how they should play? Maybe online gaming and matchmaking just isnt for you. Also, you never mentioned the Vex area until your last reply. All you said was opening the door in the 3 wave part which could easily be misinterpreted for the Archon Priest door. There is the initial spawn waiting for you, the cave spawn and then the drop ship.

I didn't die at the bottom, and you don't do as much damage. Have you looked at your guns? You ever notice that value called "range". It drops off the damage every foot you move. Go ahead, next boss fight start shooting at a boss, keep shooting and walk forward and watch the number grow. There is no Archon priest door. There's his capsule, but that's about as close as it gets. And no, I think they should play in a way that's completely useless.. Not so much to ask from someone wanting to play a strike.

I can kill half of what spawns in one crit shot, quickly jump to the other rock and super the 3 snipers that come out of the side cave and then shoot over the shield of the Hydra rather than waiting for the shield to move around. All from one cozy little rock. Again, I am not debating which method is faster as I mix it up based on what gun I am leveling up. I am simply stating that there are benefits to multiple playing styles and if someone prefers to stay back and snipe then so be it. Like I said before, just be glad they are -blam!-ing active and not AFK'ing and slowing you down even more. And also, have you noticed on the capsule that the two *gasp* DOORS slide open to let the Archon out?

There's a difference between sitting back and sniping and going up a small mountain to sit ontop of a rock to snipe from a mile away.. Not the same thing. And I don't need to wait for the shields either. I just move slightly higher up and snipe from mid range with my black hammer. Better than doing whatever scrubs are doing nowadays.
