ummm no... YOU need to grow up. He placed a valid, non-threatening, bipartisan question to community without attacking anyone. You are completely entitled to answer the question and voice your opinion. But you had to attack his... like, ironically, a child. Apparently you dont understand that this could be a rewarding discussion for both sides of the fence, but when you start off insulting ppl... how do you think thats going to go? ~~~ That said, lets look at your 'reasons'
1. Deej has said multiple times that they are prioritizing "needs" over "wants". Extra vault space is a WANT.
Thats becoming highly debatable, especially once you have 3 characters... which you should realize. Exotics weapons alone take up nearly half of your weapon slots. And what if you collect emblems, shaders, and ships? SOL. But how about some other 'needs'? Should I bring up the heavy ammo glitch? How about still not being able to reset some story levels?
2. VoG exotics have been upgraded to level 32. That is NOT going to happen with the VoG raid weapon and armor sets. If you want level 32 raid gear, you know where to find it.
I dont really know how this applies to the topic, but sure I can agree with this... although it was a stupid move to make VoG exotics of lesser value in the first place. Just another example of Bungie's attention to detail.
3. Bungie is giving thsi game a level of time, atttention and service that most developers charge a monthly subscription fee for.
... You have got to be shitting me. If you think thats true, you obviously havent played a subscription based MMO. Take WoW for example... in the last 4 months, there have been 2 large scale Patches (which have more content than Destiny or their expansion combined) implemented and 8 hotfixes with open communication on Hotfixes planned for February.
4. Bungie (unlike most developers) didn't lock all progression in the game behind the DLC /expansion paywall.
/facepalm... do you even play this game? Have you even read the forums? Nightfall/Heroic Weekly/Daily Story can all be locked behind a paywall. Not to mention that more and more evidence supports the idea that the first two expansion are. infact, locked behind an imaginary paywall and are already on the disc?

  • Unless he's brand new to the forum. All of these issues have been addressed...and on multiple occaisions In reverse order. 4. I've been playing this game since the BETA. Never mind Day One. The only thing that gets locked behind the paywall is CONTENT that the person chose not to buy. Youre $60 buys you access to those community events. They do not buy you your own personalized VERSION of it. 3. Yes I have played MMOs....and am aware that Blizzard not only charges you for expansion content, You also pay a monthly subscription fee. A fee which Blizzard just announced is goign to be INCREASED. There is no free lunch to be had anywhere. Just who gets stuck with the bill. Bungie isn't charging a monthy sub fee...and it is childish to demand that they provide the same sort of content as games that do charge them. 2. It applies to the topic because the community complained about the VoG dropping the 1.0 version of exotics...and then players having to pay to have them upgraded. Bungie responded pretty quickly in fixing that so that the VoG dropped the 2.0 versions. But Bungie is not going to waterdown the current raid by having an old raid drop weapons and armor that will get you to the current level cap. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. 1. I have three characters....and I deal with the vault space problem by using my characters weapons slots as storage.

  • How anybody in their right mind can defend this deplorably deceitful game boggles the mind...I guess news reports of IQ's in the USA steadily going down is sadly true.

He wants to know if he is alone in feeling that the communication has left anyone else feeling ignored. He has stated examples of why he feels this way. They are only to state the validity of his stance on the subject, not that they are the question themselves. Its a good question and one that should be asked. My point is that he was very diplomatic in both tone and wording... he was looking to spawn constructive conversation. Then you come along and say something counter productive and asinine like "No... grow up"... classy. ~~~ As to your retorts: 4. I dont even know what you are trying to say here... if you can't see DLC stands for 'disc-locked-content' in Destiny I dont know what to tell you. This is exceptionally shameful in the light of the prevailing theory that the game was gutted in the last year of development. It truly does appear that they are just selling us back portions of the game that are on the disc. To further remove content that was previously available to players just because they didnt buy the DLC is a terrible big business strong-arm tactic. It pisses people off and rightly so. 3. Sure, but thats not what you said...
3. Bungie is giving thsi game a level of time, atttention and service that most developers charge a monthly subscription fee for.
You're crazy if you think this game is providing the service subscription based games now a days are providing. 2. I said I agree, VoG should not drop gear on par with CE gear, that wouldnt make sense. But it was a misstep not updating the VoG exotic drops to the 2.0 versions. And if you think over a month to update that is 'pretty quick', we measure time in two very different ways. 1. I can see that, which is why it becomes a huge pain the ass having to cycle gear/engrams/shaders/emblems/ships around whenever you want to spend time playing multiple characters... and its only going to get worse. You yourself admit that you are using your alts as artificial vault space...as are most players. This by definition implies that the NEED for more vault space.

  • 4. In light of hte prevailing RUMOR. Unlike most gamers here: A. I did my homework before buying Destiny, and B. I have some experience in creating things. Music in my case. When I write a piece of music, it starts with an idea...but I dont' sit down and start to write the tune until I have a pretty good idea of what its going to sound like, and how its going to unfold. But even then, I still sometimes have to completely change directions in the middle of the process because either my original idea just doesn't work....or the project takes on a life of its own and DEMANDS to go in a particular direction. To the point where I'll hit a creative roadblock if I insist upon going in some other direction. All you have to do is look at the slide for Destiny "1"s planned expansion to see that Bungie took a similar path. With the release version of Destiny basically creating the physical playspace that the game will use through the first two DLCs. With each DLC fleshing out those areas with things to do. Comet thing gives a major expansion to the playspace...and then two later DLC flesh it out to completion. In short, the MODULAR expansion to the game world they told us to expect pre-release. 3. ....and you're crazy if you think $60 dollars entitles you to a game that the develop creates new content for, and updates on a WEEKLY basis. 2. No my sense of time just includes a MAJOR holiday, and the time necessary to code the solutions, debug them, and distribute theme as part of a MAJOR patch. Your sense of time, aparrently doesn't. 1. No I don't switch weapons around. Each of my characters has their own pesonal arsenal. A range of primary weapons to suit a number of situations. 3 fusion rifles and three snipers (one for each elemental damage). Then 3 HMGs and 3 rocket launchers. Pretty much the onl things that are in my vault right now ar weapons that none of my characters have any use for....and the elemental damage primary weapons that I do have to pass around for weekly strikes. In short . More vault space is a "want" at this point....not a "need".

  • Look, as much as I would like to debate these issues with you, its not the point of the thread. Dont be a dick to a guy that is raising a valid question in a constructive way.

  • Then tell him not to keep bring up issues that have been asked-and-answered multiple times before.

  • If you mean by them stating that they are listening. It is not an answer imo.

  • Seriously? You are missing the forest through the trees. He just wanted to know if players feel ignored... you have every ability to tell him yourself if you dont agree with the issues he stated. But you dont have to be a douche about it. There are enough assholes and trolls in the feedback forum. Its rare when someone on here makes a diplomatic post that could incite constructive dialogue. Regardless of opinion, that should be fostered, not spit upon... unless you like these boards being a cesspool.

  • ...and he should to a little bit of reading of other people's posts. Unless he is brand new to the forum. These issues have been addressed...and Bungie and Deej explained the priority with which they would be addressed. Part of being a grown up is the ability to be patient and delay gratification. Not even a grown up. Part of being a well-socialized child involves this on a lesser scale.

  • No he hasn't and I read the entire forum. He just stated that is what we want. He did not say they would be addressed.

  • So let me get this straight... you start off a response like an asshole, then state your reason for doing so is that he uses previously addressed issues and that annoys you. Then you assert that part of being a grown up is being patient?

  • Sometimes your best friend is the one who doesn't tell you what you want hear, but cares enough to give you a kick in the ass when your being a self-absorbed jerk. Which is what the Op was being. Part of being a grown up is accepting that what other people need sometimes takes priority over what we want. Which seems to be an idea that this generation has some difficulty grasping.

  • You are rationalizing to avoid responsibility. Where in the original post was the player being either self-absorbed or a jerk? Its comical to me you have seemed to have settled on some moral high ground when you not only opened with an abrasive and childish comment, but then proven yourself to be hypocritical.
