[b]Notes of Fransys, Proud Baron[/b] It was nightime when we touched the ground on Mars. Aboard my Skiff was a team of 7 Stealth Vandals, sharpening their blades while thinking of our mission: Ambush a Cabal convoy by sneaking in their Imperial Land Tank and quietly kill the drivers aboard while our Prince Walker kept them occupied. Off course, it didn't went that well. 2 Goliath Tanks were deployed and utterly destroyed the Walker while 4 of the Vandals were crushed by an Imperial Phalanx. I was changing course to retreat back to the Lair and warn the Kell about our failure when I saw the Goliath Tank that the Walker had managed to cripple explode under a rain of rockets. I initiated the cloak of my Skiff and investigated. I was surprised to see that the attack came from a group of 15 Cabals on Interceptors, seemingly Insurgents. They were about to be shot by the main canon of the second Tank, but I was not going to let that happen. I got out of camo and fired my canons at the Tank as did the Interceptors. With the Goliath Tanks destroyed, the Rebels pushed in the Imperial Land Tank and killed the opposing troops. After a firefight lasting about 15 minutes,, they cleared the Tank of all opposing forces. And with their collaboration, I thought we gained allies, but it was not the case. As our Ketch arrived to send Fallen to help them crew the Imperial Land Tank, these Cabal Insurgents directed the fire of their Interceptors at our Fallen. The batle lasted for hours and these Cabals fought well. They managed to eliminate over 35 Crews and decimated 6 Pike Bands, losing only 3 of their troops. But they were under siege and were far too outnumbered to hope for victory. It did, however, require 3 Walkers to finish them off, 2 of which perished. I believe that althought we lost a lot of assets in order to win this battle, I believe it was totally worth it. These Cabal Rebels were ferocious warriors and had I not called Saniks-Fel for backup, we surely would have lost. But now, we have an Imperial Land Tank to travel in the dunes of Mars, filled with Harvesters we can use to send supplies to the Kell & our other Guardians in the Crucible and deploy Goliath Tanks to clear Vex structures prior to our Lords' arrival. The Interceptors we now have will surely help in the Crucible in addition to the Pike we already supply. All this was surely my best mission.
