Completed First Raid (No Cheese Either Thank The Nine!)
I've done all of the parts of VoG, but not together in one playthrough. Mainly because I haven't been able to find enough friends to sit down all at once and devote that much time to playing it.
So I've played with tons of forum callers, who always end up wanting to cheese this or that. If you're going to cheese, go for it, but I'm a dairy free kind of guy.
Anyways, so I've been itching to do the Crota's End raid with some people. A friend and I took to the forums and found some guys that needed a few people.
I have to say, beating a new raid for the first time without any cheesing feels amazing. It was something I've never experienced before! And I had never seen anything past building the first bridge so it was all new to me. And my entire team had never done the raid without cheesing.
It took us about 5 hours to complete, due to someone quitting at Crota and having to find someone else and get them to warm up to us and communicate- but after it all, even though all but one of these people were complete strangers to me, they felt like friends at the end. People from all over the place, who'm I'd most likely never be friends with in real life if I met them. And I think thats kind of cool to think about. That a simple similar interest and abundance of communication could make us all feel like friends.
I had a lot of fun with the Raid. How about you guys? I got Warlock boots and Light of The Abyss (makes me think of Artorias). Looking forward to leading a nice team like that sometime into the Raid again. Get the raid gear, level it up, and take on the hard mode raid when we can.
