So what you're saying is. That in the first year of a 10 year plan, a game is supposed to not already have content ready to go? That they should release it all at once and develop after release?
Here's an alternate reality.
Some idiot(let's use you as our example) says " wow gg bungie. Way to have a 10 year plan and have us play the same content I beat in the first 3 months without cheese( prolly lying). Blam your blaming blam blam game. I want my money back. Don't want to wait 10 blaming years for blaming dlc. Blam you!"
Lol it's not cut content idiot, it's something they finished with the launch to ensure they keep the majority( you are not the majority) happy with more to do at a pace someone with an education( which you don't have, not to that degree) decided would keep fans downloading.
So please refrain from spamming posts about cut content, as you do nothing but make people grab pitchforks and torches, or lash out at you. This is prolly the most honest, non troll response you'll get. Because at the end of the day, the majority that doesn't include you, is buying more dlc after how.

Edited by Bluefoxx3: 1/14/2015 10:33:18 AMYou don't know how games like these work do you? Bungie did everything wrong with Destiny by disk locking content only to be released if you fork over $20. $20 that doesn't really get you anywhere far mind you. Dark Below is not and expansion pass. Nothing it offers warrants it to be branded as an expansion. Everything you see in the Dark Below was already on the files for Destiny, you can already see everything in the files for House of Wolves. You don't order a fresh $7 pizza only to have half of it delivered to you and being forced to pay another $7 three months later for the other half not-so-fresh pizza do you? You ended up having to pay double the amount of money for the entire pizza. We paid $95 for Destiny + Season Pass because we thought at the time, we were being promised everything shown in the E3 trailers and the demo's. Instead we paid $95 for a game in which 2 small portions of it were intentionally locked from playing and not getting brand new content like we should've. Destiny has the set a very low bar and a template for what future developers will know to avoid if they want to make a good game with a good story with it. Destiny pulled an Aliens: Colonial Marines. We did not get what we paid for at launch. Games with a certain lifespan do not release content cut from the original game to keep it going, the developers create brand new content if they wish to keep a game going, and if it's still a huge success, they'll drop the lifespan and just keep the game going for as long as possible if the keep pumping out brand new content that keeps the game ultimately fresh.

Agreed. Though I would prepare myself for the endless wave of fanboys who are about to show up if I were you.

No the life span is constant with success. They project destiny to be a 10 year project. If it's going well, they'll plan past. You think like those who thought the world ended with the Mayan calendar. At some point they had to stop. As far as cut content if thats what we're calling it. World of Warcraft. Look at hyjal. Locked until a 3rd expansion but always existing. Tanaan jungle, currently exists, yet is locked. To be released later. And you cannot doubt a games success when they announced they would not exceed the 100 level cap. Their titan project to replace wow was scrapped, probably due to the fact they have more expansions planned/ developed. So destiny has a harder environment to grow in with a game like that to have had so many potential killers, continue to hold the mantle of mmo king. I feel that's what's happening. Is people are expecting more and pushing theirselves from the game. When I get a like to my post here, that's proof, there is a fan base to enjoy the game and be eager for more, regardless of your trains of thought.
-
yeah 'a' like. When you get more likes maybe.
-
It's how do we make as much money as possible. They care not for the consumer and making a good game. There is cut content. A DLC means you have to down load content. So I haven't even bought a DLC.
-
So a 2gb patch that you downloaded is not enough downloaded content for you?
-
Not when the patch isn't a tenth of a tenth of a tenth what they promised, no.
-
I was replying to
A DLC means you have to down load content.
We did download a lot of stuff. Even though a lot was already on the disc.
-
I was replying to
A DLC means you have to down load content.
We did download a lot of stuff. Even though all of it was already on the disc.
There, fixed it for yah.
-
U fixed nothing, it's plain wrong. If it was all on disc, why did we get a 2GB patch to download ?
-
I feel they made a good game. I enjoy the hell out of it.
-
Depends how long you followed it.
-
I lost 27 brain cells reading your -blam!-ing inbred comment, -blam!-ing retard.
-
Don't have too many left then do you?
-
Only a few billion.

We can bitch and moan at one another for as long as you want, I saw your profile you're relatively new to the game. Your destiny romance will pass, and then you'll be like me. You will start to see that you're doing everything the same over and over in q vicious cycle and will eventually get disgusted that you have to put forward another 20 hard earned dollars for content you should of had for free. If you're so god damn ignorant that you refuse to see what these companies are doing to the consumer base then you deserve to get bent over.

Ive played since September bud. Game hasn't been out that long. And decided I didn't want to play wow anymore after 10 years which is the recent surge in my gameplay. I'm the kinda guy when halo 3 was out would toss in my first halo from Xbox original, and rerun my favorite missions just for the fun. I find destiny to be fun and still have that multiplayer type from wow. Soooo, don't think it's gonna happen. Anyways you are opinionated on this topic in a way that's negative, which results in your bitterness. Me? I enjoy destiny as is and look forward to wolves.
-
How can you accept that playing the same content over and over again as something that is ok though? How can I not be bitter, they are making me pay for DLCs with small chunks of things that are already on my disc, it's like as if I was paying them to "unlock" it for me. This was all in the game at launch, they just decided to give it to us later for more profit. Don't you see what's happening here? A great company (Bungie) is being absolutely consumed by Activision and their corporate greed, I didn't care when Activision -blam!- call of duty but they are not going to ruin Destiny.
-
Lol you go stop them guardian. You can win this war! All you have to do is explain why you're downloading updates when dlc is purchased. Maybe to fill in the "skeleton" your disk houses?
-
What a terrible response.
-
You are, perhaps, unintelligent. Warmest regards, ~Hooli

You poor, poor sheep.

Reef was advertised in original trailer, old Chicago was shown in original trailers. Gambling was hinted at, weapons and armor that came with the newest DLC were shown in some early trailers. That in itself shows it was done. Yet you people, you stupid stupid people would let them get away with ripping you off. Thank you for defending the company that never delivered what they promised. They really appreciate it.

Edited by Fuelled Oats: 1/14/2015 10:13:46 AMI'm glad they cut content, it staggers it out for me so it becomes more enjoyable. The ten bucks for the DLC doesn't really bother me either, it's not going to break the bank.
