Doing my part by sharing this around, we know they did it, and we know why.
Now its time to let them know we care.

Glad to know i'm not the only guy who loves this youtuber!

bump truth can be fun !!!! and good post !!!!

Well, when I paid for Dark Below it was simply an unlock, there wasn't even the slightest download. Of course it was there all along. They made the whole game and then chopped chunks out and made us pay to play them later. And we did.
-
This player can only play crucible with a shotgun? Very skilled one....

For all of you that buy into this I say this, please don't but the DLC and further more go out as soon as you can and sell off your copy of Destiny. I and many others like me would welcome not only the server space with you being gone but more than that will love to see these cry baby bullshit posts stop on the forums.

OH MY GOD! They have just made this game to make money :( I thought it was because the loved us. The other stuff on the disc will be to save massive downloads later. Plus they are trying to create an MMO/FPS kind of game and if you have every played a MMO it gets drip fed to you and usually has a monthly fee which Destiny doesn't. Comparing this to GTAV is a load of bull as they are totally different games. this video is a sad git guessing at what happened based on speculation. I wish people would just either leave and stop complaining or enjoy the game and be positive about it gradually evolving it.

I can not defend Bungie on everything, since they also did many bad things, but seriously, their effort for making the download files smaller by including what they can in the disc, and spreading the downloads to weeks to make sure people don't have to download a huge file at one time being taken this way by some people makes me mad. What people are glitching into are mostly unfinished areas. Some only have placeholder Dregs, some don't even have spawn triggers. Bungie has decided to include them in the game or in the updates, so that you can delve into the expansion content much quicker and don't have to wait a huge 5-10 GB download.

Edited by BannedMythicAccount: 1/14/2015 12:43:20 PMSome people here on B.Net will defend Destiny to their grave. Even if grinding Destiny came at the expense of destroying their own social lives and personal relationship. You cannot reason with the unreasonable. No-one here can confirm whether or not BDobbinsFTW is right or not. [maybe Bungie/Activision can, but if he's right, it goes agaisnt their best interest to comment.] But there are some simple truths to what he is saying, the way Destiny has been handled has been more like a product designed to make their buyers pay more. The game's progression is based on buying DLC and grinding your life away while you wait. [This is not new at all in MMORPG formats]. But at the end of the day, people will keep paying for the game and it's content. That's all that matters. People have shown repeatedly that they do not care about getting ripped off within the video-game industry. So the video-game industry will keep doing it to the players until they do care. This is why the DRM policies within Xbox One failed. People started caring and opted for PS4 during the early announcement period. Only when people care that they are being -blam!-ed over and as a consequence, when they change their practices, does change actually happen. Destiny players simply do not care. They will continue to support whatever policy with whatever consequence it has that may harm or benefit them. They just want to stay in the game and keep it going, for many its clearly a addiction. Being an outsider looking in, it's kinda sad but who am I to judge? Life is harsh and games are a distraction. Activision's morally bankrupt practice wins everytime because for the players who want change within the game, they aren't willing to change themselves to allow for that change to happen. It's really our fault. The majority are too busy investing in the system that their insecurity of it changing is stuck to blindly defending the current system. Bungie/Activision don't really need a PR team of sorts to speak out towards things like this, as Destiny players will defend any argument that hurts their game. This is all one big fail in motion. I'm curious to see if any systematic changes happen over the course of Destiny 1 to it's eventual sequel. It's really a good study of people and consumerism towards it's impact within the Video-Game industry. Blind brand loyalty.

The first area he supposedly glitches into is an area from one of Eris' missions. So that isn't exactly new content and it is already being utilised in the game. And some of the other areas looks familiar too.
-
The entitlement on this thread is overwhelming.
-
Why on earth are we digging this already dead retarded horse out of its grave and still beating it? This issue is old, if it bothers you that much then stop playing.
-
LOL Still the same guy? It is getting boring. The only thing I can see on his channel is slapping destiny on and on. Come on. Isn't he bored of doing ont thing for 5 months? LOL He is just lacking content.

Wow it's like September all over again Things that are relatively obvious now post launch and TDB: Destiny's original story got whacked and they went with the much thinner and incoherent mess you got. Sucks but it happened. Regular DLC was always the intent (see contract with Activision). Geography/geometry for first two DLC areas has always been on the CD. The actual game programming for DLC was not complete at launch but is completed later - see how much they are changing mechanics to tweak the game in real time. Destiny will be a pay-as-you-go model, almost like a subscription but more like pay in installments for content. I assume 95/year for base game/Comet plus two DLCs. I do not expect some awesome missing story to suddenly emerge out of the next DLC. There will also not suddenly be planets like Jupiter. Best shot for really fresh content like that is Comet. This is not some big conspiracy. It's a set of decisions that got made by a real organization of human beings under time constraints. You are welcome to like and support it, or not. I do expect future releases like Comet or Destiny 2 to begin to more fundamentally address the shortcomings in story and gameplay.
-
And you just now realized this...
-
Hey if its more content for more fun I'll pay.
-
Wut .-.

I'm baffled this video is still being posted on here. I just Wow

Hrm...do I trust internet conspiracy artists? Or folks who make the game? Or do I find a middle ground....I'll go with the last option. Activision has a major controlling stake in Destiny. There were some major shake ups in the year prior to launch. What IF: There was going to be more to the main game, Activision wanted to see more DLC/Season Passes and used the chaos to get what they wanted to better monetize the game? You could easily argue that Bungie and Activision are interchangeable. Bungie claims that the "cut content" people see is preloaded stuff made of mostly used elements. It was put on the disc because they had room and wanted to save us on the DLC installs and downloads so that folks could play instead of complain about huge downloads. The truth is usually in the middle of things. Make your own choice and either play and support the game, or walk on to find a game that is more "honest" or whatever people think content producers should be... Or it's part of a conspiracy so large that there aren't enough forum posts to discuss it! Tin Foil Hats folks! Activate! I am shutting down my internet and will only receive calls via my can and string phone.

I don't understand everyone's reaction to the dlc content being on the original disc. They have a business model and everything is planned out in advance. The new leaked timeline shows what will come out over the next few years. They sold you a game with the hopes you would continue to purchase new content. They dlc content is a planned product along with House of Wolves and eventually Destiny 2. They sold us a game for $60 that has given many of us hours and days of entertainment. They don't owe you anything more. Break down how much per hour you paid and it's penny's. It's not UNICEF, it a business.
-
Couple minutes in he started talking about globalization, OK buddy, thats adorable, just stick to your opinions of destiny, you arent an economist.
-
Some people are just... *facepalm*
-
Yeah I could sit here and watch him bash destiny for 20 minutes. Again. But I'd rather just -blam!-ing play the game and decide whether I like it or not on my own.
-
What is this trash? Most of your video is you ranting over PvP footage. Get out of these forums.
-
Oh Batman is making new Destiny videos? After slamming them a couple months ago? Yeah, really care about him spewing his same theories a third time.
-
Nothing is 'cut' everything that was ready was put on the disc. They already said this. They would have been working on House of Wolves since before the original game shipped. Doesn't mean it was ready to play. They don't just get to release date and then go 'right guys, we've got 3 months to put the DLC together' #facepalm
