The Black Garden isn't necessarily on Mars in a physical sense or at the point in time the events are happening. Remember we had to take a portal to get there and didn't just walk over. Also recall that Dinklebot says "we're not anywhere in known space and time."
There's a lot more evidence suggesting that the Vex are a race of sentient beings so advanced that they have woven themselves into the fabric of space and time. Time travel features very prominently with almost anything the Vex do. Why would the Traveler have endowed terraforming machines with this kind of power?
Also, don't forget that the Ishtar collective was researching the Vex. If the Traveler had clearly made them for terraforming, those Golden Age geniuses would've seen that with their own eyes, wouldn't they? Instead they're dealing with Vex time travel and reality simulation (see the grimoire cards).
You also didn't address at all the very high likelihood that the Traveler is actually the Darkness and brought it on. See some of the grimoire cards (one on the Black Garden in particular, where the dream Ghost says you are a bringer of death not Light). There's also that early play tester leak etc.
In short, there's a lot of unknown with the Destiny universe but enough hints and indications in the grimoire to lead us to the conclusion that your timeline is almost certainly false.
And so many people answered "accurate". Looks like not many people actually read the grimoire cards!

It is very easy to call something false without proper backing. I'd be incredibly interested to read your destiny timeline of events.

On the other hand, it's very easy to defend something that hasn't been proven if you blindly believe it. I didn't just call him false, I wrote many paragraphs explaining why. Read it again and follow the logic, then let me know if you disagree with anything in particular. In particular, read those grimoire cards on the Darkness and Vex that I referenced. And google for the "Traveler is the Darkness" theories, of which there is a lot of backing. The OP's timeline is mostly OK except for the glaringly wrong Vex conclusion. And then it's only "OK" from the point of view of the "official" story the Speaker likes to support. Haven't you overheard Eris saying that the Speaker is hiding something? There is just way too much contradiction between OP's timeline and actual in-game dialogue and grimoire.

I don't believe it. I simply was asking if you had another timeline. I would like to read a more correct one of your own.

You're referring to a different Grimoire, the dreams of Pujari, of the Black Garden, references the Vex as gardeners. It's not clear who is narrating the Grimoire you're referring too, they are, however killed by the Darkness.

Edited by alccode: 1/11/2015 10:20:07 PMIt's not clear from your sentence structure, but to confirm, the Dreams of Pujari grimoire card does not reference Vex. To quote the second part of it:
At the end of the path grew a flower in the shape of a Ghost. I reached out to pluck it and it cut me with a thorn. I bled and the blood was Light. The Ghost said to me: You are a dead thing made by a dead power in the shape of the dead. All you will ever do is kill. You do not belong here. This is a place of life. The Traveler is life, I said. You are a creature of Darkness. You seek to deceive me. But I looked behind me, down the long slope where the blossoms tumbled in the warm wind and the great trees wept sap like blood or wine, and I felt doubt. When my Ghost raised me from the sea there was a thorn-cut in my left hand and it has not healed since.
Reference: http://destiny-grimoire.info/#Card-106070 This card very strongly hints that we are agents of the Darkness, because although we think we are working for the Traveler, all we do is leave a trail of destruction and death, which is what the Darkness does/did. And since we are agents the Traveler, the two are equated with each other. I'm not saying this is 100% right, but I'm saying that there is too much out there to verify that your timeline is 100%. It is almost certainly not 100% correct.
