A paradox already happened, when Newborn Etain met Etain. Newborn Etain was cast into the abyss.

Future REVAN and Scar were like, Meh. And because Newborn Etain is in the abyss, this won't happen when Etain would've been a teenager.

I'm pretty sure newborn Etain switched places with this one. Which means that, when our timeline catches up with hers, she'll be twice as old and on the wrong side of the switch when it happens again. Which will mean it never happens, but then she won't have existed, so it [i]has[/i] to happen.
