After replaying it recently, metroid prime 1 Now let me explain, [spoiler]Samus was rescued and raised by the chozo, then she finds Tallon IV, another planet once inhibited by the very people that rescued her. All of them on the planet are dead, leaving behind only gear and logs depicting their decline. As she explores the planet she is forced to destroy the spectral remnants of the chozo. Then to top it all off, the space pirates are there destroying all that the chozo built, and corrupting everything with the toxin that leveled the peaceful peoples. [/spoiler]
