So I woke up this morning nice and early and decided it was time for a nice breakfast. I had to run some errands such as going to the bank, and bringing my SO coffee at work. I made a decision to stop at a local bagel store for a bagel to satisfy my morning hunger.
The following is a review of my order which was an Everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese and fresh lox. I waited approx. 10 minutes for said bagel between the time I walked through the door till the time I left the establishment this was fine by me as it was busy and I was in no rush. The bagel itself came wrapped neatly in aluminum foil and was placed in a paper brown bag with 4 square napkins. Upon unpacking my nourishment I noted the coloration and amount of seasoning present upon the bagel which was in line with the locale policy of bagel coating (NYC) although their was an over abundance of poppy seed and lack of sesame which could have altered the palate perception of other flavors in meta-bagel consumption.
The scallion cream cheese spread was made in house and was very good. The texture was smooth and creamy with a lack of lumps and coagulation which could render most spreads most foul and unappetizing. The cook who prepared such spread used green scallion noted for their sharp acidic taste and utilized a fine chop with the exclusion of the white lower section of scallion and favored the more tender succulent pieces situated at the top of the plant for this I was much grateful.
Now the lox was most likely pre-packaged as this delicatessen was not of the Jewish-Kosher and therefore lacked the proper skills, knowledge, and resources to prepare fresh smoked salmon on a daily basis. But I digress, for being prepackaged it still held the silky tender texture of a fresh fish and I would grade it a B quality on taste and lack of omega oil which is only found in fresh wild caught specimens.
All in all I recommend this restaurant to the community and hope you all may visit some day in the bear future. Thank you for the time and patience and I hope you enjoyed my review.
