We don't have friends
We don't empathize
We don't do not find joys in others
When we empathize, we only want people to help us
When we listen, we're only waiting for our turn to talk
When we make friends, we only do so to ensure our survival
We are inherently selfish creatures
Perhaps in our advancement past simple survival instincts, we surpassed the instinct to do what is good for the species as a whole
Perhaps after conquering the big picture, we enveloped ourselves in smaller details
Instead of looking up at our friends' smiles, we look down at our own little worlds
I'm not worried though
Looking at the big picture, we're a very sporadic species
Never staying at the same place for more than one hundred years
We're a weird species
A polygamist species that developed monogamic tendencies
You have to play the game or else you're called insane
Truth is subjective
Whatever is decided by the majority becomes the truth
I don't know what I'm saying
I'm high as -blam!-
Not on drugs though
Or any substance for that matter
I'm just spewing whatever comes out of my mind to try and relieve these tangles...
