I understand why you did this.
Destiny is probably the most frustrating loot based game I've ever played. You grind for hour upon hour, repeating the same old content, and get greens and blues for your trouble. I enjoy the shooting, but the game needs two things 1) more playable content to add variety and spice to the grind and 2) a more rewarding loot system to feel that you actually gain something for the amount of time vested in the game.
Still, breaking the disk was stupid. You could have sold it and bought another game.
