I see titans wearing it but never understood why. Can't you just equip the skill on the striker's skill tree? There isn't even anything good in that slot.
Especially since Xur is selling it, could someone explain why you would ever use this instead of armamentarium or ruin wings? In PVP or PVE? Is it just a quick level 32 helmet?

Edited by Scud: 1/10/2015 1:17:58 AMMelee on respawn is huge. Gren charge on melee damage not kills is dope. Transfusion is great. Also discipline is nice. Ive been waiting for it so I was happy to see it. I think people are a little simple/uncreative and generally go for whatever is considered the best choice. Sure armamentarium is awesome, so what? Try something different.

It's awesome in crucible as defender or striker. Spawning with melee energy is incredibly amazing as defender cuz you will almost always have force barrier. As a striker you can set Aftershocks and still have transfusion. Again, only really good in crucible. It's a crucible helmet, same with No Backup Plans
-
Because Daft Punk.
-
It's pvp based it's so u have transfusion and after shocks
-
I play a Striker, so it's more useful to me than, say, the Glasshouse. I'm only rocking the Skullfort until I get a raid helmet, then I'll throw on my Ruin Wings.
-
It lets you use transfusion/aftershocks which is very nice. I found it to be one of the most useful titan exotic I've come across so far.
-
Look So Badass:)
-
Equip that hat and a Monte Carlo and call me in the morning.
-
I wear it because it looks nicer than the rest of exotic helmets
-
I used it until I got Armamenatarium
-
It makes melees happen more often and more beneficial. Its a PvP favorite of mine
-
It's just a level 32 Helm for most, nothing more. Waste of an Exotic slot.
-
Having transfusion with the helmet is a big plus considering its one of the best perks for the titan skill tree. You could put the perk where aftershock and lightning grenades last longer for pvp. People are usually retarded and don't pay attention to your grenades haha
-
It's probably the least useful Titan exotic alongside the mk44 asides or whatever they're called.
-
If you want to use an exotic helm as a striker, but don't like Death From Above. You can then take Aftershock or Headstrong. Plus you get a free melee with every respawn. Course our melee is mediocre... Shoulder Charge is situational.... There isn't really a good reason. Certainly beats the shit out of Armementarium in the style category....
-
Skin. That's all
-
I just got mines but looking at the perks and having all the other exotic helms I see you being able to use it in pvp very well as a striker with the melee regain health and get another melee if you get a kill would be really fun.
-
It's motivation to skull-blam!- your girlfriend
-
I have had it for awhile and only titan exotic I'm missing is the glasshouse. I use it simply because I prefer being 32 and the perks aren't bad (health and grenade cd in PvP are useful). The ruin wings in PvP are useless (heavy ammo is a terrible thing to build your base model around for pvp) as most people don't wait for you to get the heavy ammo anyway, the other pvp based helm screws with my foh sometimes so I don't use it, armamentium and lupi are both cool and I would likely use armementium if I had the raid helm.
-
It's a knuckleduster's helm. PUNCHING.

Edited by Rogue: 1/10/2015 1:06:53 AMYou've basically said the reason yourself. It allows you to take the option of doing AoE damage with Storm Fist or having a chance to have Storm Fist instantly recharge when used. I've personally never found the first particularly useful, but the second is definitely useful in those situations when you have a number of enemies charging you that are harder to OHK with basic melee. Being able to smash through a group of melee stealth vandals is fairly amusing. *Edit: Transfusion is in the same column as Headstrong and Aftershocks. My mistake.
-
If you've got inmost, you'll be running that on striker instead anyways. If it worked for force barrier though.. Different story.
-
It is one of those exotics that you just stare at and nothing more. It's ability to regen health when you kill them with your melee punch BUT not your shoulder charge, is stupid. Transfusion is better. I used it for a quick level 32 when the other helms didn't get upgraded yet.
-
Well I have titan exotics, I like to melee, and I think it looks awesome. XD. If I got the others I'd probably use them instead.
