You're just flat out full of shit dude, not the Multi-tool. I don't know if you're trolling or what, but the Mida Multi-Tool is an awesome gun for both PvP and PvE.
Not the best in the game or anything but definitely a top tier gun, which anyone with half a brain could see if they used this gun for themselves (once leveled up of course, without it's perks it's not quite as good).
And of you're just pissed off because the game gave you three of a gun you don't want, welcome to the club, RNGesus is an asshole. Get over it and move on, you don't have to like every weapon you get but not liking it doesn't make it trash, just you for thinking that.

It has shit damage dude. Melted butter status
-
It's damage is fine for its rate of fire (funny how those two things work, they have a way of balancing each other out, higher RoF guns have lower impacts and lower RoF guns have higher impact, but when you put the two together it comes out to the same DPS). And with the hair trigger it doesn't matter as much how rapidly you have to pull the trigger, it's not hard to keep that thing firing all day with just the slightest twitch of my finger. You're allowed to not like this gun if you want, just stop calling it shit, all you're doing is showing yourself up as an idiot.
-
Compare it to VoC for example. It barely has a higher RoF but it's missing quite a bit of impact. Take a look

Edited by Lucius Aelius: 1/9/2015 9:35:57 PMYou're reading too much into these stat bars (which aren't precise enough for such a comparison to be meaningful), they only tell you so much and if you're judging any gun off that without using it for yourself to see what it's like, you're an idiot. The stat bars are a rough guide certainly but they're not the whole story, if you max out the weapon and use it then you can see what it's like properly, otherwise you haven't tested it properly and aren't in any position to say shit about it one way or the other. And for the record I was that idiot once myself, got my first Found Verdict way back when, looked at it's stats and thought "apart from full auto this doesn't look that good" so I trashed it, one of the dumbest mistakes I've made playing this game. Do not trust the stat bars so religiously, they don't tell you everything you need to know to make an informed decision, only using the fully leveled weapon (and not just for five minutes) can do that
-
I did in fact max both. I did notice that MIDA had a higher RoF but only slightly, and the impact difference was also quite noticeable. Not opinion or rough observation, just stating my findings. The stats do show it accurately enough

Edited by Lucius Aelius: 1/9/2015 9:44:42 PMI edited my post above to add something, also I say again the stat bars really aren't accurate, it's just a fact, not precisely enough for such comparisons to be meaningful. If stats were all I went with I'd still be deluded into thinking the Found Verdict sucked instead of being one of the best shotguns in the game. The stats lie. That being said if you leveled up the Multitool and still don't like it then fine you don't have to, but unless you're going to come in here with a scientific test video that shows the DPS for the Multitool and other top scout rifles to compare them all side by side, saying that the Multitool sucks is still premature. You may not like it but it doesn't suck, and in my experience the RoF is enough faster than the VoC to make up for any loss of damage. Not to mention that extra agility is just the icing on the cake, people who undervalue agility are being foolish.

I would but I simply don't have the time to compile all that. You know what -blam!- it since everyone is so gaga for this damn thing I'm gonna level the one RNGesus forced upon me last night
-
If u dont have the time to compile it then stop talking about it then!! Otherwise everyone here made u look unintelligent & foolish. You always did talk out of ur ass w/ this gun and I tried to tell u many times but you didnt listen. Now ppl think ure an idiot. Happy? I am.

The MIDA is for a marksman. I use it in PvE as my main go to weapon even though i have suros and others and it always performs better than them for me. It feels like a easy to use, quick firing sniper rifle. It takes a certain level of skill to use it effectively and once you get there, the gun pays off the work in spades. Ive used it from everything from nightfalls and raids to IB and crucible and it performs extremely well in everything. Also, having both VoC and MIDA, i find the mida to fit my play style more, if youre the kind of player that likes to stay mobile while being able to quickly ADS and take precision shots then MIDA is a godsend

Edited by Lucius Aelius: 1/9/2015 9:52:18 PMIt's not a super amazing gun and we're not going Gaga over it, but it's a great gun and is absolutely in the top tier of weapons in this game. We just don't understand why or how anyone would call this gun shit, so we took issue with you over it. You don't have to like it or want it or use it if you don't want to, just don't come on the forum calling a great gun shit and expect everyone to instantly agree with you, that's just not gonna happen.
