For those possibly unaware: the ammo glitch occurs whenever you wear a piece of gear that increases an amount of ammo type, upon death (or loading screen... Yes even mid-mission cutscenes) you lose a chuck of that ammo. For the vast majority of people they'll only really notice this for their heavy, but it actually occurs with all weapon types.
This bug has existed basically since the game came out and honestly it's stupid that such an important core aspect of gameplay like ammo can be so fundamentally broke right now.
Honestly, I'm not even someone who cheeses and I find it annoying that you only seem to care about fixing bugs that make it easier to play Destiny, while leaving in ones that frustrate the player base to no end, sometimes I wonder if the darkness is actually Bungie...

Sad to say, as far as Bungie is concerned, there are higher priorities than our gaming experience. Bungie probably feels it's a happy accident, providing yet anther "credit sink" in the game. I think they only way Bungie would truly understand the impact, would be to have the ammo bug applied to their personal wallets, such that whenever they changed clothes, went to bed, travelled to a different store, some real $$$ would be increasingly missing from their wallet. After all, Bungie doesn't "give" us the glimmer or drops for the ammo synth packs, we all have to invest time in the game to acquire them.

I love how it stops at 1 rocket though. "Here you go, that should be enough"

I honestly didn't know this was a bug until about a week ago and I've been playing since Beta. I got Armamentarium early in the game so I thought it was supposed to take away heavy when you die. Didn't notice until I stopped wearing it that I keep my heavy. This is completely unacceptable. I can't even begin to imagine how many heavy synths I've wasted due to this bug. Bungie fix this before you worry about other glitches please! This is more important than someone cheesing Crota. This affects ALL PLAYERS!

This is a much bigger issue. It happens on plain cut scenes, not just when dying. Next time you are doing dark beyond on the moon, watch your ammo count. When you pull out your ghost and scan the dead guardian and go to cut scene, when you come back I GUARANTEE YOU HAVE LOST AMMO. Did you die, NO. I have gone into the cut with 40 fusion rifle rounds and come out of cut with 23. What the frack did I do to deserve that? It happens with heavy as well.

thats a bug ? im aware of this phenomenon and i always though its stupid but working as designed

AMEN! Bungie ONLY addressed bugs that convenience players in favor of adding patches that do nothing more than make things more difficult. I'm pretty sure their mission statement says nothing about improving player experience but is only focused on stretching content.

I can't link you, but I believe deej said one that you will lose the "extra" ammo when you die. Like losing a bonus and that's as intended.
