Destiny is the movie of the AMAZING book you read. The thing is your imagination is so powerful and unique to you that there could always be "something" they missed or could have done differently.
When people imagine what "could" be it becomes very hard to fufill that dream when reality hits and you pick up that controller.
I for one love this game and have not played any game as long as this(except WoW, LoL, CoC) and this was because of friends.
The reason we log so many hours is to stay competetive, or reach our maximum potential and be with friends.
Is it a grind? Fück yea.
So why are you still doing it? You still play because you want to be with your friends and raid buddies.
If destiny was such a crap game you would not have logged so many hours.

I love this game. Of course, like any game, there are flaws and things that can be improved, but for what it is, it's a beautiful and fantastic game that I see myself playing for a long time. Not enough people commend Bungie where it's deserved. Everyone takes for granted that Bungie is one of the only gaming developers that actually do and still listen to their community, and continue to build upon the games they release. Unlike other companies that seem to just abandon the game after about a few months of release. I personally love the grind in Destiny cause it's almost therapeutic for me. I find it relaxing to just patrol a planet of my desire, running around and messing, picking off enemies of the dark as I pick up missions and gather whatever mats I encounter on the way, but I never go out of my way for any of those things so I avoid that "tedious" feel. I just go with the flow, and it's damn relaxing to me :)
