I'd say the same with the armor: a chance to upgrade it via Xur or some other method would be great.
Right now, for a max level character, you have the choice of Crota's End gear, plus one Exotic. That's it. Not exactly a plethora of options for what's nominally an RPG. Bungie makes some really odd decisions.

I dont think its stupid. In every game that is out there and is drop oriented the best gear always comes from the endgame content. I personally think it should stay that way.

The source doesn't bother me; having only one option for end-game gear does, especially when it makes you look like someone cosplaying as Nosferatu.
