What do you AC fans think of unity and the future of the franchise. Personally I love the game now after all the updates. I'm really pissed at ubi for releasing it the way it was. It wasn't far for the game or consumers. Ubi has lost my trust with this rushed release and I don't plan on buying any of there games unless there used. If we want to show these devs we don't like broken games we have to say it with are wallet. Also I hope for the next AC they fix this modern day story. modern day was what connected everything together and now its a joke . Also I hope there is more focus on artifacts . That's what really felt missing in unity through the whole game and then BAM sword of eden in the last 10 minutes of the game. Sorry for any mistakes in my writing.

Ubisoft is dead to me. And so is assassins creed. From a guy who's loved the franchise since the first game, it's heartbreaking to see what it has become. A money making scheme.

Edited by TotallyNotDrew: 1/8/2015 4:14:59 AMI could talk about Unity and its faults for days, but here's a quick synopsis. The story is plain and generic, being done time and time again in previous AC games. I mean really, is it that hard to think up a different storyline other then boy meets girl, boy gets convicted, girl does, boy avenges her? Combat is designed poorly. You have enough health to take out everything, but the weapon do such piss poor damage it's impractical. It's Clunky, unimagined, and generally bad. Stealth is awkward, pressing a to hide behind objects pisses you off more then it helps, and the detection system makes absolutely no sense. Movement is terrible, taking away the one button you'd think is essential, the ability to shove people out of your way. For a game that out so much emphasis on the crowds they could generate, they made them more of an inconvenience. And wall climbing? Hah, have fun trying to get through that window.

They need to reinvent the franchise.

I like AC unity, I don't get all the fuss.

Eh, Unity is a good game, bugs aside. As long as Ubisoft has learned a lesson from Unity's launch and won't release another game with that many issues again, I don't see any reason I'd get tired of the franchise. I love everything about it and won't be getting tired of it soon.

The game is still a mess. The modern day was always shit. I'm not sure how to feel about AC Victory. Ubi have burned me twice now with AC.

There are deeply rooted problems with the AC games and how they are developed. Revelations and III were bad games. IV was good because of the pirate stuff. The actual Assassin's Creed stuff was bad in BF. Unity is garbage. The franchise has been on the wrong course for years now.
